浙江旅游职业学院是全国唯一一所由文化和旅游部与省人民政府共建的公办高职院校，前身为1983年创建的浙江省旅游职工中等专业学校，2000年升格为高职院校。学校拥有杭州、千岛湖两大校区，杭州校区为国家4A级旅游景区，千岛湖校区依托5A级景区资源，总占地面积1080亩。

Tourism College of Zhejiang is the only public higher vocational college co-built by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the provincial government. Its predecessor was Zhejiang Tourism Workers' Secondary Professional School founded in 1983, which was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2000. The college has two campuses in Hangzhou and Qiandao Lake, with the Hangzhou campus being a national 4A-level tourist attraction and the Qiandao Lake campus relying on 5A-level scenic resources, covering a total area of 1,080 mu.

学校是国家示范性骨干高职院校、国家优质专科高等职业院校，全国唯一通过联合国世界旅游组织旅游教育质量认证的高职院校。设有10个教学单位，开设33个旅游类专业，其中国家高水平专业群2个，中央财政支持专业2个，世界旅游组织认证专业16个。双师型教师占比超90%，全日制在校生12500余人，连续多年跻身全国高职院校服务贡献50强、国际影响力50强。

The college is a national model backbone higher vocational college, a national high-quality junior college, and the only higher vocational college in China accredited by the World Tourism Organization for tourism education quality. It has 10 teaching units and offers 33 tourism-related majors, including 2 national high-level professional groups, 2 majors supported by central finance, and 16 majors accredited by the World Tourism Organization. Over 90% of its teachers are "double-qualified" (with both academic and industry experience), and it has more than 12,500 full-time students. It has ranked among the top 50 national higher vocational colleges in service contribution and international influence for many consecutive years.

学校秉承"励志、惟实、博爱、精致"的校训，构建了"依托行业、产学结合、接轨国际"的办学模式，建有浙江旅游博物馆、10大教科研平台及180余家校企合作单位，先后获全国黄炎培职业教育优秀学校奖、国家旅游标准化示范院校等荣誉，是中国旅游职业教育的标杆院校。

Adhering to the motto of "Aspiration, Pragmatism, Fraternity, and Exquisiteness", the college has built a school-running model of "relying on the industry, integrating production and education, and connecting with the international community". It has established the Zhejiang Tourism Museum, 10 teaching and research platforms, and more than 180 school-enterprise cooperation units. It has successively won honors such as the National Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Excellent School Award and National Tourism Standardization Demonstration College, and is a benchmark institution in China's tourism vocational education.
