南充文化旅游职业学院是由南充市人民政府举办，经四川省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的全日制公办普通高等学校，是四川省文化和旅游厅与南充市人民政府共建高校，也是全国第一所以文化旅游命名的高职院校。学校先后荣获全省高校平安校园先进单位、四川省民族团结进步示范校、省级中国非物质文化遗产传承人研修培训基地等荣誉称号。

Nanchong Vocational College of Culture and Tourism is a full-time public ordinary higher education institution sponsored by the Nanchong Municipal People's Government, approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is a university co-built by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Nanchong Municipal People's Government, and also the first higher vocational college named after culture and tourism in China. The college has successively won honorary titles such as Advanced Unit of Safe Campus in Sichuan Province's Colleges and Universities, Sichuan Provincial Model School for National Unity and Progress, and Provincial-level Training Base for Inheritors of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The college is located in Langzhong, Nanchong, which is a National Civilized City, National Sanitary City, National Historical and Cultural City, one of the Four Ancient Cities in China, a National 5A-level Tourist Attraction, and one of the first batch of Tianfu Tourism Counties. The campus is built against the mountains and beside the water, integrating the scenery with the school. The seven functional areas such as teaching area, training area, sports area, and riverside leisure area are scientifically laid out. The ten landscapes such as Langyuan Wonderland, Jinxiu Jialing, Liyuan Spring and Autumn, and Cherry Blossom Snow are ingeniously designed, making it a high-standard landscape academy and landscape college.
