浙江国际海运职业技术学院是舟山市人民政府举办的普通高等职业院校，2004年2月由舟山水产（航海）学校、东海学院和定海职业中学合并组建。2004年9月，时任浙江省委书记习近平同志视察学校时指示，要发挥学历教育和职业培训优势，服务舟山渔农民转产转业、浙江海洋经济强省建设及国际航运业人才需求。学校现有新城、岱山两个校区，占地约600亩，全日制在校生7250人，教职工485人，专任教师中研究生学历（学位）占比73%。

Zhejiang International Maritime College is a public higher vocational college sponsored by the Zhoushan Municipal People's Government. It was established in February 2004 through the merger of Zhoushan Fisheries (Navigation) School, Donghai College, and Dinghai Vocational Middle School. In September 2004, Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, inspected the college and instructed it to leverage its advantages in academic education and vocational training to serve the needs of Zhoushan fishermen's industrial transition, Zhejiang's marine economy development, and international shipping talent cultivation. The college has two campuses (Xincheng and Daishan) covering approximately 600 mu, with 7,250 full-time students, 485 faculty members, and 73% of full-time teachers holding postgraduate degrees.

学校以航运类专业为龙头，构建海洋装备制造、港贸物流、石油化工等特色专业群，设6个二级学院、26个高职专业，其中国家级骨干专业3个、浙江省优势特色专业6个。拥有200余个校内外实训基地，包括国家级生产性实训基地和虚拟仿真实训中心，推行ISO9001质量管理体系，累计培训船员超18万人次。与10余所国（境）外高校合作，建有浙江-巴新、浙江-乌克兰国际海事学院，培养了20余万名技术技能人才，获评省级高水平高职学校。

The college focuses on shipping-related majors, forming特色专业集群 in marine equipment manufacturing, port logistics, and petrochemical engineering. It comprises 6 secondary colleges offering 26 vocational programs, including 3 national-level key majors and 6 provincial-level advantageous specialties. With over 200 on-campus and off-campus training bases (including national-level productive training bases and virtual simulation centers), it implements ISO9001 quality management system and has trained over 180,000 seafarers. Collaborating with more than 10 overseas universities, it has established Zhejiang-Papua New Guinea and Zhejiang-Ukraine International Maritime Institutes, producing over 200,000 technical talents and being recognized as a provincial high-level vocational college.
