浙江工商职业技术学院是浙江省人民政府首批批准成立的四所全日制公办普通高等职业院校之一，前身为创建于1914年的“宁波公立甲种商业学校”，被誉为“宁波商帮文化的摇篮”。学校秉承“厚德、进业、明智、笃行”的校训，坚持“质量立校、服务兴校、管理促校、特色强校”的办学思想，形成了“传承宁波商帮精神，培育现代商帮人才”的办学特色，以“工、商”并重为专业发展方向，对接地方经济和产业发展需求。

Zhejiang Business Technology Institute is one of the first four full-time public higher vocational colleges approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. Its predecessor was the "Ningbo Public Grade A Commercial School" founded in 1914, known as "the cradle of Ningbo business gang culture". Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Progress, Wisdom, and Practice", the institute adheres to the educational philosophy of "Establishing the school with quality, prospering the school with service, promoting the school with management, and strengthening the school with characteristics". It has formed the educational feature of "inheriting the spirit of Ningbo business gang and cultivating modern business talents", focusing on the balanced development of "engineering and business" majors to meet the needs of local economic and industrial development.

学校主校区位于中国商业名城、现代化国际港口城市——宁波，现有宁波本部、宁海和慈溪三个校区，总占地面积894亩。设有经济管理学院、电子商务学院、机电工程学院等7个二级学院，开设39个专业，其中4个国家级重点专业、12个省级重点专业。全日制在校生13000余人，教职工700余人，“双师型”教师占比85.42%。近三年毕业生初次就业率平均超过98%，是教育部高职高专院校人才培养工作水平评估优秀学校、浙江省示范性高等职业院校。

The main campus is located in Ningbo, a famous commercial city and modern international port city in China. Currently, there are three campuses: Ningbo headquarters, Ninghai and Cixi, covering a total area of 894 mu. The institute has 7 secondary colleges including the School of Economics and Management, School of E-Commerce, and School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, offering 39 majors, among which 4 are national key majors and 12 are provincial key majors. It has over 13,000 full-time students and more than 700 faculty members, with "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 85.42%. The average initial employment rate of graduates in the past three years has exceeded 98%. It is an excellent school in the talent training level evaluation of higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education and a model higher vocational college in Zhejiang Province.
