新疆师范高等专科学校是一所具有百年办学历史和深厚文化底蕴的高校，其前身是始建于1906年的新疆师范学堂，1955年更名为乌鲁木齐第一师范学校，1978年9月新疆教育学院在乌鲁木齐第一师范学校的基础上成立，此后，新疆广播电视师范大学、新疆幼儿师范学校等相继并入该校，2012年学校更名为新疆师范高等专科学校（新疆教育学院）。

Xinjiang Normal College is a higher education institution with a century-long history and profound cultural heritage. Its predecessor was the Xinjiang Normal School founded in 1906. In 1955, it was renamed Urumqi No.1 Normal School. In September 1978, Xinjiang Education College was established on the basis of Urumqi No.1 Normal School. Since then, Xinjiang Radio and Television Normal University, Xinjiang Preschool Normal School and other institutions have been merged into the college one after another. In 2012, the school was renamed Xinjiang Normal College (Xinjiang Education College).

百余年来，学校始终秉承“厚德励志、笃学尚行”的校训精神，坚持社会主义办学方向，坚持“以人为本、注重质量、突出特色、服务社会”的办学理念，坚持走内涵式发展道路，全面贯彻党的教育方针，落实立德树人根本任务，为党育人、为国育才，为自治区学前和基础教育师资培养了大量人才。学校先后获得全国民族团结进步先进集体、全国文明单位、全国文明校园等称号。

Over the past hundred years, the college has always adhered to the school motto of "Virtue, Aspiration, Learning and Practice", adhered to the socialist orientation in running schools, and the school-running philosophy of "People-oriented, Quality-focused, Characteristic-prominent and Society-serving". It has persisted in taking the path of connotative development, fully implemented the Party's educational policy, and fulfilled the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, cultivating talents for the Party and the country, and has trained a large number of teachers for preschool and basic education in the autonomous region. The college has successively won titles such as National Advanced Collective for National Unity and Progress, National Civilized Unit, and National Civilized Campus.
