皖西卫生职业学院是经安徽省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等职业院校，其前身为始创于1958年的安徽省六安卫生学校，2010年3月正式升格为高等职业学院。学院坐落于安徽省六安市，规划面积1075亩，实际占地面积736亩，现有建筑面积30多万平方米，拥有基础及专业实验实训室77个，实验实训面积近6万平方米，图书馆馆藏纸质图书70余万册，中外文全文电子图书30余万册。

West Anhui Health Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Anhui Province and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Its predecessor was Anhui Lu'an Health School founded in 1958, which was officially upgraded to a higher vocational college in March 2010. Located in Lu'an City, Anhui Province, the college has a planned area of 1075 mu and an actual area of 736 mu, with a construction area of more than 300,000 square meters. It has 77 basic and professional experimental training rooms with an area of nearly 60,000 square meters, and the library has a collection of more than 700,000 paper books and more than 300,000 Chinese and foreign electronic books.

学院开设护理、助产、临床医学、药学、康复治疗技术等21个专业，覆盖医药卫生、食品药品与粮食、财经商贸、公共管理与服务等四大学科领域。其中护理、药学、康复治疗技术专业为省级特色高水平专业，护理、康复治疗技术专业是中央财政支持实训基地建设专业。学院注重实践教学，建立有5个实训中心（基地），与130多家实践教学医院、医药企业等建立实习合作关系，在校生近1万人，教职工345人，"双师型"专业教师比例达66.1%。

The college offers 21 majors including Nursing, Midwifery, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, and Rehabilitation Therapy Technology, covering four disciplines: medicine and health, food and drug & grain, finance and trade, and public administration and services. Among them, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Rehabilitation Therapy Technology are provincial-level characteristic high-level majors, and Nursing and Rehabilitation Therapy Technology are majors supported by the central finance for the construction of training bases. The college focuses on practical teaching, with 5 training centers (bases) and internship cooperative relations with more than 130 practical teaching hospitals and pharmaceutical enterprises. There are nearly 10,000 students and 345 faculty members, with the proportion of "double-qualified" professional teachers reaching 66.1%.
