无锡工艺职业技术学院是隶属于江苏省教育厅的全日制普通高等学校，是江苏省中国特色高水平高职学校建设单位、江苏省示范性高等职业院校、教育部高职高专人才培养工作水平评估优秀院校。学校肇始于1933年创办的江苏省宜兴初级陶瓷科职业学校，历经江苏省立宜兴陶瓷科职业学校、陶都工业大学、江苏省宜兴陶瓷工业学校、江苏省宜兴轻工业学校等办学阶段，2004年升格为无锡工艺职业技术学院。

Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology is a full-time regular higher education institution affiliated to the Education Department of Jiangsu Province. It is a construction unit of high-level vocational schools with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu Province, a demonstrative higher vocational college in Jiangsu Province, and an excellent college in the talent training level evaluation of higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education. The school originated from Jiangsu Yixing Primary Ceramic Vocational School founded in 1933, and has gone through several school-running stages such as Jiangsu Provincial Yixing Ceramic Vocational School, Taodu Industrial University, Jiangsu Yixing Ceramic Industry School, and Jiangsu Yixing Light Industry School. It was upgraded to Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in 2004.

学校坐落于美丽富饶、人文荟萃的陶都宜兴，占地近1000亩，建筑面积29万余平方米，是融山水为一体的生态型、园林式、数字化的现代江南校园。经过90多年的建设和发展，学校现已发展成为以紫砂陶为特色，以艺术设计为重点，覆盖电线电缆、眼视光技术、物联网技术、电子商务等艺工文商相融合的综合性高职院校。现设有6个二级学院和4个公共教学单位，开设39个专业，面向全国招生，现有在校生近12000人。

Located in Yixing, the pottery capital with rich resources and a gathering of cultural figures, the school covers an area of nearly 1000 mu with a building area of more than 290,000 square meters. It is an ecological, garden-style and digital modern Jiangnan campus integrating mountains and rivers. After more than 90 years of construction and development, the school has developed into a comprehensive higher vocational college featuring purple clay pottery, focusing on art design, covering wire and cable, optometry technology, Internet of Things technology, e-commerce and other fields integrating art, engineering, liberal arts and commerce. It now has 6 secondary colleges and 4 public teaching units, offering 39 majors, enrolling students nationwide, with nearly 12,000 students.
