台州职业技术学院是一所政府举办的全日制普通高等学校，地处中国民营经济发祥地之一、长三角南翼重要制造业基地、东南沿海现代化港口城市——浙江省台州市。学校筹建于1999年；2001年5月，浙江省人民政府批准建立台州职业技术学院；2003年、2006年，浙江省台州工业学校和浙江贸易经济学校先后成建制并入。

Taizhou Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher education institution located in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, a birthplace of China's private economy, an important manufacturing base in the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, and a modern coastal port city. The college was prepared for establishment in 1999; in May 2001, it was officially approved by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. In 2003 and 2006, Zhejiang Taizhou Industrial School and Zhejiang Institute of Trade and Economics were merged into the college respectively.

学校是浙江省“双高计划”建设单位、浙江省示范性高等职业院校、教育部现代学徒制试点单位，荣获全国大学生创新创业就业服务基地、全国无偿献血促进奖单位奖、全国模范职工之家等多项荣誉称号。学校占地面积约550余亩，建筑面积约30.6万平方米，下设12个二级学院，开设33个专业，其中国家级骨干专业3个、省级优势特色专业13个，现有教职工677人，全日制在校生万余人。

The college is a construction unit of Zhejiang Province's "Double High-Level Plan", a model higher vocational college in Zhejiang, and a pilot unit of the Ministry of Education's modern apprenticeship system. It has been awarded many honors such as the National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Employment Service Base, the National Blood Donation Promotion Award, and the National Model Workers' Home. Covering an area of about 550 mu with a construction area of 306,000 square meters, the college has 12 secondary colleges and offers 33 majors, including 3 national-level key majors and 13 provincial-level advantageous and characteristic majors. It currently has 677 faculty members and more than 10,000 full-time students.

学校始终坚持“高教性、职教性、地方性”办学定位，深化产教融合、校企合作，建有国家级实训基地3个、省级示范性实训基地9个，与德国、西班牙等20多个国家（地区）高校建立合作关系，培养了近6万名高素质技术技能人才，毕业生初次就业率连续多年保持98%以上，为区域经济社会发展作出重要贡献。

Adhering to the school-running orientation of "higher education, vocational education, and locality", the college deepens industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation. It has 3 national-level training bases and 9 provincial-level demonstration training bases, and has established cooperative relations with universities in more than 20 countries and regions including Germany and Spain. The college has cultivated nearly 60,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents, with the initial employment rate of graduates remaining above 98% for many years, making important contributions to regional economic and social development.
