沙洲职业工学院创建于1984年，是全国第一所县办公办普通高等职业院校，被载入中国高等教育史，坐落于江苏省苏州市张家港市。学院占地530亩，校舍面积23万平方米，设有建筑工程与设计学院、纺织服装与材料学院、智能制造学院等7个二级学院，开设35个紧贴地方产业需求的专业，其中国家级示范专业1个、央财支持重点专业2个、省级高水平专业群1个。

Shazhou Polytechnic was founded in 1984 as the first county-run public vocational college in China, inscribed in China's higher education history. Located in Zhangjiagang City, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, the college covers 530 mu with 230,000 square meters of school buildings. It comprises 7 secondary colleges including the School of Architectural Engineering and Design, and offers 35 industry-aligned programs, featuring 1 national demonstration program, 2 central finance-supported key programs, and 1 provincial high-level program cluster.

学院秉承"勤奋、求实、开拓、进取"校训，拥有专任教师235人，其中高级职称占比40%、双师型教师占比75%，建有国家级实训基地、省级产教融合平台等教学设施。与近百家企业共建实习基地，毕业生就业率连续保持95%以上，80%留张家港服务地方经济，培养了大批技术技能人才，获"江苏省文明单位""国家职业技能鉴定所"等荣誉。

Adhering to the motto "Diligence, Practicality, Exploration, Enterprise", the college has 235 full-time teachers, with 40% holding senior titles and 75% being "double-qualified" instructors. It boasts national-level training bases and provincial industry-education integration platforms, collaborating with over 100 enterprises for internships. With over 95% employment rate and 80% graduates serving local economy, it has earned titles like "Jiangsu Civilized Unit" and "National Vocational Skill Testing Authority".
