苏州信息职业技术学院位于美丽的太湖之滨、苏州湾畔，是长三角生态绿色一体化发展示范区内唯一的公办高职院校。学院前身之一的江苏省吴江师范学校成立于1922年，办学历史悠久，文化积淀深厚。学院的办学历程大致经历了四个主要阶段：一是2003年学院的前身——南京邮电大学吴江职业学院成立；二是2009年苏州信息职业技术学院成立，南京邮电大学继续代管；三是2014年学院由民办转公办，为正科级事业单位；四是2016年学院机构升格，为正处级建制。

Suzhou Vocational Institute of Information Technology is located by the beautiful Taihu Lake and Suzhou Bay, and is the only public higher vocational college in the Yangtze River Delta Eco-Green Integration Demonstration Zone. One of the college's predecessors, Jiangsu Wujiang Normal School, was founded in 1922, with a long history of running schools and profound cultural accumulation. The college's school-running history has roughly gone through four main stages: first, the predecessor of the college - Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications Wujiang Vocational College was established in 2003; second, Suzhou Vocational Institute of Information Technology was established in 2009, and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications continued to take charge; third, the college was converted from private to public in 2014, becoming a department-level public institution; fourth, the college was upgraded to a division-level institution in 2016.

学院现设有智慧财经学院（经济贸易系）、现代商务学院（管理工程系）、通信电子学院（通信与信息工程系）、智能制造学院（电气与电子工程系）、人工智能学院（大数据与互联网系）、基础课部（体育部）、马克思主义学院、继续教育学院等教学机构。全日制在校生近7000人，现有教职工334人，其中，正高职称10人，副高职称80人。开设专业26个，计算机网络技术专业群入选江苏省高职院校高水平专业群建设项目，电梯工程技术专业被评为首批苏州市高等院校骨干专业。

The college currently has teaching institutions such as the School of Smart Finance and Economics (Department of Economic and Trade), School of Modern Business (Department of Management Engineering), School of Communication and Electronics (Department of Communication and Information Engineering), School of Intelligent Manufacturing (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), School of Artificial Intelligence (Department of Big Data and Internet), Basic Courses Department (Physical Education Department), Marxist College, and Continuing Education College. There are nearly 7,000 full-time students and 334 faculty members, including 10 with senior professional titles and 80 with associate senior professional titles. It offers 26 majors, among which the computer network technology professional group has been selected into the construction project of high-level professional groups in Jiangsu higher vocational colleges, and the elevator engineering technology major has been rated as one of the first batch of key majors in Suzhou colleges and universities.
