苏州健雄职业技术学院是2004年7月经江苏省人民政府批准设立的公办全日制高等职业院校，以出生于太仓的世界著名物理学家吴健雄博士名字命名，校训为诺贝尔奖获得者李政道题写的“厚德载物，积健为雄”。学院是江苏省中国特色高水平高职学校建设单位、江苏省示范性高职院校，坚持“深耕太仓、深化双元、深入创新、深得人心”的办学思路，致力于打造区域经济社会发展的“人才仓、技术仓、服务仓”，2022年发布国内首个双元制职业教育人才培养地方（省级）标准。

Suzhou Chien-shiung Institute of Technology is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government in July 2004. Named after the world-renowned physicist Dr. Chien-Shiung Wu, who was born in Taicang, the college's motto "Hou De Zai Wu, Ji Jian Wei Xiong" (Virtue Carries All Things, Strength Builds Greatness) was inscribed by Nobel laureate Tsung-Dao Lee. It is a construction unit of Jiangsu Provincial High-level Vocational Colleges with Chinese Characteristics and a Demonstrative Higher Vocational College in Jiangsu Province. Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "Deeply Rooted in Taicang, Deepening Dual Education, In-depth Innovation, and Winning People's Hearts", the college is committed to building a "Talent Warehouse, Technology Warehouse, and Service Warehouse" for regional economic and social development. In 2022, it released China's first local (provincial-level) standard for dual-system vocational education talent training.

学院位于江苏省苏州市太仓市科教新城健雄路1号，前身可追溯至1907年创办的江苏省太仓师范学校，历史积淀深厚。学院总占地近700亩，建筑面积17.5万平方米，全日制在校生万余名，教职工500余人，专任教师中高级职称占比39%、博士学位占比20%。设有智能制造学院、生物医药学院等教学单位，开设机电一体化技术、人工智能技术应用等37个专业（含3+2本科专业7个），拥有国家级高校学生科技创业实习基地、省级中德精密机械部件制造国际技术转移中心等多个教学科研平台，双元制教育模式特色鲜明，获江苏省高等教育教学成果特等奖，入选2024年国家级市域产教联合体建设单位。

The college is located at No. 1, Jianxiong Road, Science and Education New Town, Taicang City, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Its predecessor can be traced back to Jiangsu Taicang Normal School founded in 1907, with a profound historical heritage. Covering an area of nearly 700 mu and a building area of 175,000 square meters, the college has over 10,000 full-time students and more than 500 faculty members, with 39% of full-time teachers holding senior titles and 20% holding doctoral degrees. It has established teaching units such as the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and the School of Biomedical Engineering, offering 37 majors including Mechatronics Technology and Artificial Intelligence Technology Application (including 7 3+2 undergraduate majors). The college boasts multiple teaching and research platforms such as the National College Student Technology Entrepreneurship Internship Base and the Jiangsu Provincial Sino-German Precision Machinery Parts Manufacturing International Technology Transfer Center. Its distinctive dual-system education model has won the Special Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement and was selected as a national-level urban vocational education consortium construction unit in 2024.
