苏州经贸职业技术学院是一所由江苏省人民政府举办、隶属于江苏省教育厅的国有公办全日制普通高等职业院校，坐落于历史文化名城苏州，地处上方山北麓、石湖之滨，是江苏省中国特色高水平高职学校。学校办学始于1961年的苏州商业学校和1984年的苏州丝绸工业学校，2003年两校合并组建为苏州经贸职业技术学院。

Suzhou Institute of Trade & Commerce is a state-owned public full-time higher vocational college sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and affiliated to the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. Located at the northern foot of Shangfang Mountain and by the shore of Shihu Lake in the historical and cultural city of Suzhou, it is a Jiangsu Provincial High-level Vocational College with Chinese Characteristics. The school's history dates back to Suzhou Commercial School founded in 1961 and Suzhou Silk Industry School established in 1984, which merged to form Suzhou Institute of Trade & Commerce in 2003.

学校占地面积820亩，固定资产总值11.25亿元，建筑面积近26万平方米，设有电子商务与物流学院、信息技术学院等8个二级教学单位，全日制在校生近12000名。学校遵循“人民性、地方性、职业性、智慧性”发展理念，聚焦智慧企业、聚力智慧服务、成就智慧人生，建有8大专业群40个专业，拥有国家级职业教育教师创新团队2个、中央财政支持建设实训基地3个，2024年在《软科中国高职院校排名》中位列全国财经类高职院校第13位。

The school covers an area of 820 mu (about 546,667 square meters) with a fixed asset value of 1.125 billion yuan and a building area of nearly 260,000 square meters. It has 8 secondary teaching units including the School of E-commerce and Logistics, and the School of Information Technology, with nearly 12,000 full-time students. Adhering to the development philosophy of "people-oriented, local-rooted, vocational-focused, and wisdom-driven", the school focuses on smart enterprises, smart services, and smart life achievements. It has established 8 major professional groups covering 40 specialties, 2 national-level vocational education teacher innovation teams, and 3 training bases supported by central finance. In 2024, it ranked 13th among national financial and economic vocational colleges in the "Soft Science China Vocational College Rankings".
