上海出版印刷高等专科学校创建于1953年，是新中国建立的第一所出版印刷类学校，被誉为“中国出版印刷专业教育的摇篮”，由国家新闻出版署与上海市人民政府共建，是国家骨干高职院校建设单位、国家印刷出版人才培养基地。

Shanghai Publishing and Printing College was founded in 1953. It is the first school specializing in publishing and printing established in New China, known as "the cradle of professional education in China's publishing and printing industry". Co-built by the National Press and Publication Administration and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, it is a national backbone higher vocational college construction unit and a national talent training base for printing and publishing.

学校现有校本部（杨浦区水丰路100号）、营口路校区（杨浦区营口路101号）和国顺东路校区（杨浦区国顺东路25号）三个校区，占地303亩。以“工文艺融汇、编印发贯通、教学做互动”为办学特色，形成了印刷工程与包装设计、出版传播与文化管理、艺术设计与影视动漫三大专业群，开设数字印刷技术、广播影视节目制作、动漫设计等40余个专业。

The college has three campuses: the main campus (100 Shuifeng Road, Yangpu District), Yingkou Road Campus (101 Yingkou Road, Yangpu District), and Guoshun East Road Campus (25 Guoshun East Road, Yangpu District), covering an area of 303 mu. With the educational characteristics of "integration of engineering, literature and art, integration of editing, printing and distribution, and interaction between teaching and doing", it has formed three major professional groups: printing engineering and packaging design, publishing communication and cultural management, art design and film animation, offering more than 40 majors such as digital printing technology, radio, film and television program production, and animation design.

学校秉持“崇德弘文、笃行致远”校训，注重实践教学与校企合作，与上海印刷集团等企业共建现代学徒制项目，学生参与新疆克孜尔石窟复刻等文化遗产保护实践，培养了大批服务出版印刷传媒行业的技术技能型人才，毕业生就业率长期保持行业领先水平。

Adhering to the school motto of "Virtue, Culture, Practice and Perseverance", the college focuses on practical teaching and school-enterprise cooperation. It has established modern apprenticeship programs with enterprises such as Shanghai Printing Group. Students participate in cultural heritage protection practices such as the reproduction of the Kizil Grottoes in Xinjiang, cultivating a large number of technical and skilled talents serving the publishing, printing and media industries. The employment rate of graduates has long maintained a leading level in the industry.
