南京铁道职业技术学院是经江苏省人民政府批准成立、教育部备案的一所省属公办专科层次的全日制普通高校，是轨道交通行业办学历史最悠久、影响力最大的高职院校之一，是长三角地区唯一一所轨道交通高校，是江苏省高水平高职院校建设单位、国家优质高等职业院校、中国特色高水平高职学校和专业群建设单位。学校前身是创建于1941年的南京特别市立第一职业中学，1953年黄炎培先生创办的中华职业学校（时名为上海轻工业学校）商科并入我校，1955年起更名为南京铁路运输学校，长期隶属铁道部管理。2002年学校升格为高等职业技术学院，更名为南京铁道职业技术学院，2004年成建制由铁道部划转江苏省地方管理。

Nanjing Vocational Institute of Railway Technology (NIRT) is a public full-time vocational college approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is one of the vocational colleges with the longest history and greatest influence in the rail transit industry, the only rail transit college in the Yangtze River Delta, and a construction unit for high-level vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province, a national high-quality vocational college, and a construction unit for China's distinctive high-level vocational schools and professional groups. Its predecessor was the Nanjing Special Municipal No.1 Vocational Middle School founded in 1941. In 1953, the Business Department of China Vocational School (then named Shanghai Light Industry School) founded by Mr. Huang Yanpei was merged into the school. In 1955, it was renamed Nanjing Railway Transportation School and was under the management of the Ministry of Railways for a long time. In 2002, the school was upgraded to a higher vocational and technical college and renamed Nanjing Vocational Institute of Railway Technology. In 2004, it was transferred from the Ministry of Railways to the local management of Jiangsu Province as a whole.

建校80余载以来，学校始终秉承“求真厉行”的校训，为国家培育了超过12万名兼具家国情怀、工匠精神及铁路特色的高素质技术技能人才，被誉为“铁路黄埔军校”。现有浦口和鼓楼两个校区，总占地面积1146亩，总建筑面积40.2万平方米，全日制在校生1万余人，教职工670余人。设有铁道运输学院、城轨与市域交通学院、机车车辆学院、未来交通学院、运输经济管理学院、建筑与数智创意学院等6个二级学院，开设专业46个，轨道类专业覆盖高铁、普铁、地铁、市域铁路等轨道交通运营管理及装备制造全产业链，现有国家双高建设专业群2个、省级高水平专业群6个。

Over more than 80 years since its establishment, the school has always adhered to the school motto of "Seeking Truth and Practicing Earnestly" and has cultivated more than 120,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents with a sense of family and country, craftsmanship spirit, and railway characteristics for the country, known as the "Whampoa Military Academy of Railway". It currently has two campuses, Pukou and Gulou, with a total area of 1146 mu and a total construction area of 402,000 square meters. There are more than 10,000 full-time students and more than 670 faculty members. It has 6 secondary colleges including the School of Railway Transportation, the School of Urban Rail and Suburban Transportation, the School of Locomotive and Rolling Stock, the School of Future Transportation, the School of Transportation Economics and Management, and the School of Architecture and Digital Intelligence Creativity, offering 46 majors. The rail-related majors cover the entire industry chain of rail transit operation management and equipment manufacturing, including high-speed rail, ordinary rail, subway, and suburban rail. It currently has 2 national double-high construction professional groups and 6 provincial high-level professional groups.

学校建有全国唯一连接铁路正线的高铁实训基地，列车可直接开进校园，集成高铁六大系统，配备全真高铁设备，技术与现场同步，实训条件全国一流。作为国家首个重大行业产教融合共同体“国家轨道交通装备行业产教融合共同体”副理事长单位，牵头省级市域产教联合体“江北新区轨道交通产教联合体”，与中国铁路上海局集团等企业深化校企合作，毕业生就业率、就业竞争力连续多年位居全省高职院校前列。国际化办学影响广泛，牵头首个国家轨道交通装备行业产教融合共同体国际交流部，为雅万高铁、中老铁路等项目培养超1200名本土人才，共建埃及郑和学院，输出轨道交通10个工种技能鉴定标准，获来华留学生质量认证最高等级。

The school has built the only high-speed rail training base in China connected to the main railway line, where trains can directly enter the campus. It integrates six major high-speed rail systems, is equipped with real high-speed rail equipment, with technology synchronized with the on-site, and has first-class training conditions in the country. As the vice-chairman unit of the "National Rail Transit Equipment Industry产教融合 Community", the first major industry产教融合 community in China, it leads the provincial urban area产教联合体 "Jiangbei New Area Rail Transit产教联合体" and deepens school-enterprise cooperation with enterprises such as China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group. The employment rate and employment competitiveness of graduates have ranked among the top in Jiangsu vocational colleges for many years. It has extensive influence in international education, leading the International Exchange Department of the first National Rail Transit Equipment Industry产教融合 Community, training more than 1,200 local talents for projects such as the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail and the China-Laos Railway, co-building the Egypt Zheng He College, exporting skill identification standards for 10 types of rail transit work, and obtaining the highest level of quality certification for international students in China.
