南京旅游职业学院是江苏省文化和旅游厅主管的全日制公办普通高等学校，其前身可溯源至1978年全国创办最早的旅游专业学校——江苏省旅游学校（后更名为南京旅游学校）和1989年成立的国内唯一一所专门培养酒店业管理人才的高等院校——金陵旅馆管理干部学院。2001年两校合并办学，2007年正式转制为南京旅游职业学院，2018年成为江苏省示范性高等职业院校，2022年入选江苏省中国特色高水平高职学校建设单位。

Nanjing Institute of Tourism and Hospitality is a full-time public higher vocational college under the administration of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. Its predecessor can be traced back to Jiangsu Tourism School (later renamed Nanjing Tourism School), the earliest tourism professional school founded in China in 1978, and Jinling Hotel Management Cadre College, the only institution of higher learning established in 1989 specializing in cultivating hotel management talents in China. The two schools merged in 2001 and was officially transformed into Nanjing Institute of Tourism and Hospitality in 2007. It became a demonstrative higher vocational college in Jiangsu Province in 2018 and was selected as a construction unit of Jiangsu Provincial High-level Vocational Schools with Chinese Characteristics in 2022.

学院坐落于南京，拥有江宁和华严岗两个校区，占地面积427亩，全日制在校生7000余人，下设酒店管理学院、旅游管理学院等8个教学单位。开设27个与文旅行业密切相关的专业，其中8个专业通过联合国世界旅游组织旅游教育质量认证，拥有国家级职业教育教师创新团队1个、全国技术能手1人，建有中央财政支持的职业教育实训基地等50个校内实训基地，以及御冠教学酒店等产学研服务机构，累计为全国文旅行业输送近4万名高素质人才。

Located in Nanjing, the college has two campuses, Jiangning and Huayangang, covering an area of 427 mu, with more than 7,000 full-time students. It has 8 teaching units including the School of Hotel Management and the School of Tourism Management. It offers 27 majors closely related to the cultural and tourism industry, among which 8 majors have passed the tourism education quality certification of the United Nations World Tourism Organization. It has 1 national vocational education teacher innovation team, 1 national technical expert, 50 on-campus training bases such as the vocational education training base supported by the central finance, as well as industry-university-research service institutions such as Yuguan Teaching Hotel. It has accumulated nearly 40,000 high-quality talents for the national cultural and tourism industry.
