南京交通职业技术学院是公办全日制普通高等学校，创办于1953年，主管单位为江苏省交通运输厅。学校坐落在历史文化名城南京，是江苏省高水平高等职业院校建设单位、江苏省示范性高职院校，被誉为江苏交通“黄埔军校”。学校占地921亩，建筑面积36.9万平方米，资产总值近11亿元，教学仪器设备总值1.8亿元，全日制在校生规模12600余人。

Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution founded in 1953, under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transport. Located in Nanjing, a famous historical and cultural city, the college is a construction unit of Jiangsu Provincial High-level Vocational Colleges and a demonstrative vocational college in Jiangsu Province, known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" of Jiangsu transportation. The college covers an area of 921 mu, with a building area of 369,000 square meters, a total asset value of nearly 1.1 billion yuan, teaching equipment value of 180 million yuan, and a full-time student population of over 12,600.

学校专业设置紧密对接现代综合交通运输体系，建有交通土建、汽车服务、物流管理、轨道交通、智能交通、建筑工程等6个省高水平专业群，拥有全国交通运输职业教育示范性专业2个、国家提升专业服务能力建设专业2个、高等职业教育创新发展行动计划国家级骨干专业9个。学校坚持产教融合、校企合作，牵头组建江苏交通运输职业教育集团等多个职教联盟，成立10余个校企联合学院，为江苏交通运输行业输送了8万多名高素质技术技能人才，60%的全省公路交通建设项目经理和技术骨干、60%的全省汽车4S店高级管理人员均毕业于该校。

The college's majors are closely aligned with the modern comprehensive transportation system, with 6 provincial high-level professional groups including transportation civil engineering, automotive services, logistics management, rail transit, intelligent transportation, and construction engineering. It boasts 2 national demonstration majors in transportation vocational education, 2 national majors for enhancing professional service capabilities, and 9 national backbone majors under the Innovative Development Action Plan for Higher Vocational Education. Adhering to industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, the college leads the establishment of Jiangsu Transportation Vocational Education Group and other vocational education alliances, and has set up more than 10 school-enterprise joint colleges. It has cultivated over 80,000 high-quality technical and skilled talents for Jiangsu's transportation industry, with 60% of the province's highway construction project managers and technical backbones, and 60% of senior managers in the province's automotive 4S stores being graduates of the college.

近年来，学校先后荣获江苏省文明单位（文明校园）、江苏省五一劳动奖状、江苏省职业教育先进单位等荣誉称号，多次入选“全国高等职业院校服务贡献50强”“全国高等职业院校国际影响力50强”，办学核心指标和综合实力位居全省高职院校第一方阵。
