南京机电职业技术学院是2006年4月经省、市政府批准成立、教育部备案的市属公办高等职业院校，由南京机电产业（集团）公司举办。学校前身为1982年成立的南京市机械工业局职工大学和1985年成立的南京电子工业联合职工大学，2006年两校合并组建为现校，秉持“自强不息，知行合一”校训，致力于培养高素质技术技能人才。

Nanjing Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology is a public higher vocational college approved by the provincial and municipal governments and registered with the Ministry of Education in April 2006. Sponsored by Nanjing Electromechanical Industry (Group) Company, its predecessors are Nanjing Machinery Industry Bureau Staff University (founded in 1982) and Nanjing Electronic Industry United Staff University (founded in 1985). Merged in 2006, the institute adheres to the motto "Self-improvement through Knowledge and Action" and focuses on cultivating high-quality technical talents.

学校设有机械工程系、电子工程系等6个二级院系，开设23个专业，涵盖机械、电子、计算机等领域。拥有省级高水平专业群、教育部重点建设专业，建成171个校外实训基地和48个校内实训室，其中国家级众创空间“蓝岛创客空间”特色鲜明，师生参与研制的“南京号”科普卫星成功发射，彰显产教融合与科技创新实力。

The institute comprises 6 secondary departments including Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Engineering, offering 23 majors covering machinery, electronics, and computer science. It boasts provincial-level high-level professional clusters and key construction majors of the Ministry of Education, with 171 off-campus training bases and 48 on-campus laboratories. The "Blue Island Maker Space", a national-level makerspace, stands out for its innovation. The successful launch of the "Nanjing-1" satellite, developed by faculty and students, demonstrates its strength in industry-education integration and technological innovation.

现有教职工317人，全日制在校生8100余人，学生职业技能证书获证率超95%，毕业生就业率保持96%以上，60%以上服务南京地方企业。学校先后获评江苏省高技能人才培训基地、知识产权工作先进集体，构建了“54333”创客教育体系，形成“校企协同、工学结合”的办学特色。

With 317 faculty members and over 8,100 full-time students, the institute achieves a vocational skill certificate acquisition rate exceeding 95% and a graduate employment rate above 96%, with over 60% serving local enterprises in Nanjing. It has been awarded the Jiangsu Provincial High-skilled Talent Training Base and Advanced Collective for Intellectual Property Work. The institute has developed a "54333" maker education system, forming a distinctive school-running model of "enterprise-school collaboration and work-integrated learning".
