辽宁省交通高等专科学校是省属公办全日制高等职业院校，是全国首批28所国家示范性高职院校、高职教育国家双高计划高水平学校和辽宁省高职教育兴辽卓越学校建设单位。学校始建于1951年，时名东北交通学校，是新中国第一所交通专门学校，为新中国交通事业和抗美援朝后勤保障做出了突出贡献。1954年更名为交通部沈阳公路工程学校，1958年升格为辽宁交通学院，1973年更名为辽宁交通学校，1982年更名为辽宁交通工程学校，1985年更名为辽宁省公路专科学校，1991年更名为辽宁省交通高等专科学校。

Liaoning Provincial College of Communications is a public full-time higher vocational college. It is one of the first 28 national demonstration higher vocational colleges, a high-level school in the national "Double High Plan" for vocational education, and a construction unit of Liaoning Provincial Excellent Higher Vocational Education School. Founded in 1951 as Northeast Traffic School, it was the first specialized traffic school in New China and made outstanding contributions to New China's transportation cause and the logistical support for the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea. It was renamed as Shenyang Highway Engineering School of the Ministry of Communications in 1954, upgraded to Liaoning Jiaotong College in 1958, renamed as Liaoning Jiaotong School in 1973, Liaoning Jiaotong Engineering School in 1982, Liaoning Provincial Highway College in 1985, and finally Liaoning Provincial College of Communications in 1991.

学校位于沈阳市，占地60万平方米（900亩），建筑面积30.43万平方米，教学仪器设备总值5.3亿元，固定资产13.1亿元，馆藏纸质图书75.3万册。现有校内实训室120个、校外实训基地138个，国家级示范性虚拟仿真实训基地1个，省级示范性虚拟仿真实训基地2个，生产（经营）性实训基地2个。全校教职工总数661人，其中专任教师603人，正高级职称79人、副高级职称162人，博士50人（含博士后5人）、硕士464人。现有全日制高职专科在校生13268人，开设招生专业45个。其中，数控技术专业为国家级现代学徒制试点专业，道路桥梁工程技术、汽车运用与维修技术专业群为中国特色高水平专业群，另有省级兴辽卓越高职专业群6个。

The college is located in Shenyang, covering an area of 600,000 square meters (900 mu) with a building area of 304,300 square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 530 million yuan, fixed assets are 1.31 billion yuan, and the collection of paper books is 753,000 volumes. There are 120 on-campus training rooms, 138 off-campus training bases, 1 national demonstration virtual simulation training base, 2 provincial demonstration virtual simulation training bases, and 2 productive (operational) training bases. The total number of faculty and staff is 661, including 603 full-time teachers, 79 with senior professional titles, 162 with deputy senior professional titles, 50 doctors (including 5 postdoctoral fellows), and 464 masters. There are 13,268 full-time vocational college students, offering 45 enrollment majors. Among them, the Numerical Control Technology major is a national modern apprenticeship pilot major, the Road and Bridge Engineering Technology and Automobile Application and Maintenance Technology professional groups are high-level professional groups with Chinese characteristics, and there are 6 provincial-level Xingliao Excellent Higher Vocational professional groups.

学校是具有交通特色、装备制造优势的综合性工科高职院校，形成了“三个融合”的办学模式和人才培养模式，确立了“政治坚定、素质优良、技术过硬、身心健康”的人才培养标准，构建了党建引领、德技并重、教管一体、文化育人的立德树人体制机制。近五年培养毕业生17570名，平均初次毕业去向落实率97.81%，平均在辽就业率83.21%。学校获评辽宁省三全育人示范校、全国高职院校育人成效50强、全国高校首批毕业生就业工作50强、全国高职院校服务贡献50强和全国职业院校教学管理50强院校。

The college is a comprehensive engineering higher vocational college with transportation characteristics and equipment manufacturing advantages. It has formed a "three integrations" school-running model and talent training model, established the talent training standard of "firm politics, excellent quality, excellent skills, and physical and mental health", and built a moral education system led by party building, emphasizing both morality and skills, integrating teaching and management, and cultivating people through culture. In the past five years, it has trained 17,570 graduates, with an average initial employment rate of 97.81% and an average employment rate in Liaoning of 83.21%.
