辽宁地质工程职业学院坐落于中国最大最美的边境城市丹东，是具有沿江、沿海、沿边区位禀赋和鲜明地矿特色的省属公办高职院校。学院是教育部首批现代学徒制试点单位、教育部第二批职业教育数字校园建设试点学校、教育部职业教育信息化标杆学校立项建设单位、第三批国家级职业教育教师创新团队建设立项单位、辽宁省职业教育改革发展示范学校、辽宁省高水平特色专业群项目学校、辽宁省高等职业教育兴辽卓越院校。

Liaoning Vocational College of Geology Engineering is located in Dandong, China's largest and most beautiful border city. It is a public vocational college with the geographical advantages of being along the river, coast and border, and distinctive geological and mining characteristics. The college is one of the first pilot units of modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education, the second batch of pilot schools for digital campus construction in vocational education of the Ministry of Education, an approved construction unit of the informatization benchmark school in vocational education of the Ministry of Education, an approved construction unit of the third batch of national vocational education teacher innovation teams, a demonstration school for the reform and development of vocational education in Liaoning Province, a project school for high-level characteristic professional groups in Liaoning Province, and an excellent vocational college in Liaoning Province for higher vocational education.

学院前身为东北有色金属地质职工中专学校，始建于1984年，隶属于中国有色金属工业总公司，1994年转为普通中专，更名为东北有色金属工业学校，1998年始，学校隶属于辽宁省有色地质局，2005年更名为东北工业学校，2006年兼并丹东市城市建设学校，2007年创建辽宁地质工程职业学院，2017年经省政府批准划归辽宁省教育厅。学院占地面积33.5万平方米，建筑面积11.8万平方米，教学仪器设备总值11936.55万元，校内实训室168个，校外实训基地103个，拥有国家级实训基地2个，省级实训基地7个。

The college's predecessor was the Northeast Nonferrous Metal Geological Workers' Secondary School, founded in 1984 and affiliated to China National Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation. In 1994, it was transformed into a regular secondary school and renamed Northeast Nonferrous Metals Industry School. Since 1998, the school has been affiliated to Liaoning Nonferrous Geological Bureau. In 2005, it was renamed Northeast Industrial School. In 2006, it merged with Dandong Urban Construction School. In 2007, Liaoning Vocational College of Geology Engineering was established. In 2017, it was assigned to Liaoning Provincial Department of Education with the approval of the provincial government. The college covers an area of 335,000 square meters, with a building area of 118,000 square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 119.3655 million yuan. It has 168 on-campus training rooms and 103 off-campus training bases, including 2 national-level training bases and 7 provincial-level training bases.

现有教职工292人，专任教师258人，具有副高级以上职称71人，具有硕士及以上学位176人，双师型教师105人。拥有二级教授1人，兴辽英才计划领军人才1人，辽宁省百千万人才工程百人层次人才1人、千人层次人才1人，职业院校省级教学名师5人、省级专业带头人7人、省级骨干教师4人，辽宁省优秀教师2人，辽宁省职业教育双师型名师工作室1个、教师技艺技能传承创新平台1个。学院现有在校生6398人，设有资源工程系、测绘与环境工程系、机电工程系、建筑工程系、信息工程系、继续教育学院、马克思主义学院、体育部、基础教学部等9个二级教学单位，开设矿产地质勘查、宝玉石鉴定与加工、工程测量技术、机电一体化技术、建筑工程技术、环境工程技术等28个专业。

There are 292 faculty members, including 258 full-time teachers. Among them, 71 have associate senior titles or above, 176 have master's degrees or above, and 105 are double-qualified teachers. It has 1 second-level professor, 1 leading talent of Xingliao Talents Program, 1 talent at the hundred-person level and 1 at the thousand-person level of Liaoning Provincial Millions of Talents Project, 5 provincial-level teaching masters in vocational colleges, 7 provincial-level professional leaders, 4 provincial-level backbone teachers, 2 outstanding teachers in Liaoning Province, 1 provincial-level double-qualified teacher studio in vocational education of Liaoning Province, and 1 teacher skill inheritance and innovation platform. The college currently has 6398 students and 9 secondary teaching units, including the Department of Resource Engineering, the Department of Surveying and Mapping and Environmental Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Architectural Engineering, the Department of Information Engineering, the School of Continuing Education, the School of Marxism, the Department of Physical Education, and the Department of Basic Teaching. It offers 28 majors such as Mineral Geological Exploration, Gem Identification and Processing, Engineering Surveying Technology, Mechatronics Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology, and Environmental Engineering Technology.

学院深化产教融合、校企合作，牵头成立辽宁地矿职业教育集团和辽宁省首家测绘行业现代智能测绘行业产教融合共同体，获批辽宁省职业教育兴辽产业学院2个，获省级教学成果奖15项，省级精品在线开放课程7门。近五年，学院成功承办全国职业院校技能大赛高职组岩矿鉴定与综合地质编录技术赛项，教师获全国职业院校技能大赛教学能力比赛一等奖1项，学生获得全国职业院校技能大赛一等奖4项、省级以上技能大赛奖项500余项。

The college deepens the integration of industry and education, and school-enterprise cooperation. It takes the lead in establishing the Liaoning Geology and Mining Vocational Education Group and the first modern intelligent surveying and mapping industry-education integration community in Liaoning Province's surveying and mapping industry. It has been approved 2 Xingliao Industrial Colleges for vocational education in Liaoning Province, won 15 provincial teaching achievement awards, and 7 provincial excellent online open courses. In the past five years, the college has successfully hosted the National Vocational College Skills Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges in the item of Rock and Mineral Identification and Comprehensive Geological Recording Technology. Teachers have won 1 first prize in the teaching ability competition of the National Vocational College Skills Competition, and students have won 4 first prizes in the National Vocational College Skills Competition and more than 500 awards in provincial and above skills competitions.
