江苏信息职业技术学院是江苏省人民政府批准、教育部备案的国有公办普通高等学校，是江苏省中国特色高水平高职学校建设单位。学校前身苏南工人技术学校创建于1953年，是新中国第一所电子类中等专业学校，历经无锡无线电工业学校等发展阶段，2002年由国家级重点中专无锡无线电工业学校与无锡市锡山职教中心合并升格为高等职业院校。

Jiangsu Vocational College of Information Technology is a state-owned public ordinary higher education institution approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is a construction unit for high-level vocational colleges with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu Province. The predecessor of the school, Southern Jiangsu Workers' Technical School, was founded in 1953 as the first secondary specialized school of electronics in New China. It went through development stages such as Wuxi Radio Industry School and was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2002 through the merger of the national key technical secondary school Wuxi Radio Industry School and Wuxi Xishan Vocational Education Center.

学校坐落于太湖之滨的无锡市，现有藕塘、东亭两个校区，占地面积1165亩，建筑面积36.7万平方米，教科研仪器设备总值超2亿元，图书馆藏书76万余册。设有微电子学院、智能工程学院等13个教学机构，开设38个招生专业，形成以电子信息类专业为核心、先进制造业与现代服务业协同发展的专业集群，现有全日制在校生13000余人，教职工682人，专业课教师“双师”素质比例达90%以上。

Located in Wuxi City on the shore of Taihu Lake, the school has two campuses: Outang and Dongting, covering an area of 1165 mu with a building area of 367,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment exceeds 200 million yuan, and the library has more than 760,000 books. It has 13 teaching institutions including the School of Microelectronics and the School of Intelligent Engineering, offering 38 enrollment majors, forming a professional cluster with electronic information majors as the core and coordinated development of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries. Currently, there are over 13,000 full-time students and 682 faculty members, with the proportion of "double-qualified" professional course teachers reaching over 90%.

学校秉承“养正修能”校训，深耕电子信息领域职业教育七十余年，是教育部批准的首批国家级示范性软件职业技术学院，先后荣获江苏省高校毕业生就业工作先进集体、江苏省精神文明建设先进单位等称号。近年来着力打造“E芯报国”育人品牌，构建覆盖芯片设计、制造、应用全产业链的特色专业体系，毕业生就业率持续保持在99%以上，为长三角地区信息技术产业发展输送了大批高素质技术技能人才。

Adhering to the school motto of "Cultivating Integrity and Cultivating Ability", the school has been deeply engaged in vocational education in the electronic information field for more than 70 years. It is one of the first national demonstration software vocational and technical colleges approved by the Ministry of Education, and has successively won titles such as Advanced Collective for Employment Work of College Graduates in Jiangsu Province and Advanced Unit for Spiritual Civilization Construction in Jiangsu Province. In recent years, it has focused on building the "E-Chip Serving the Country" education brand, constructing a characteristic professional system covering the entire industry chain of chip design, manufacturing, and application. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 99%, providing a large number of high-quality technical and skilled talents for the development of the information technology industry in the Yangtze River Delta region.
