江苏经贸职业技术学院坐落在六朝古都南京，其前身可追溯到创办于1952年的苏南镇江商业学校，是新中国成立后江苏独立创办商科教育的开端。2002年由江苏商业管理干部学院、江苏省商业学校改建为高职院校，2007年入选江苏省首批示范性高职院校，2010年入选国家示范（骨干）高职院校建设单位，2019年入选中国特色高水平高职学校建设单位。

Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce is located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties. Its predecessor can be traced back to the Southern Jiangsu Zhenjiang Commercial School founded in 1952, which marked the beginning of independent business education in Jiangsu after the founding of the People's Republic of China. In 2002, it was restructured into a higher vocational college from Jiangsu Institute of Commercial Management Cadres and Jiangsu Commercial School. In 2007, it was selected as one of the first batch of demonstrative higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province. In 2010, it was listed as a national demonstration (backbone) higher vocational college construction unit, and in 2019, it was selected as a construction unit of China's characteristic high-level vocational schools.

学校现有江宁、光华两个校区，全日制在校生近1.4万人；对接现代商贸流通、健康养老服务、财务管理和金融科技服务等产业，建有2个国家双高计划专业群、2个省级高水平专业群，覆盖管理学、经济学、工学等学科门类。近年来获国家教学成果奖4项、全国教材建设奖3项，建有国家级在线精品课程6门、国家级骨干专业6个，学生参加技能大赛、创新创业大赛屡获佳绩，毕业生受到社会好评，赢得“江苏商界黄埔军校”“现代服务业人才摇篮”的美誉。

The college has two campuses, Jiangning and Guanghua, with nearly 14,000 full-time students. It aligns with industries such as modern commercial circulation, health and elderly care services, financial management, and fintech services, and has established 2 national double-high plan professional groups and 2 provincial high-level professional groups, covering disciplines like management, economics, and engineering. In recent years, it has won 4 national teaching achievement awards and 3 national teaching material construction awards, with 6 national online quality courses and 6 national key majors. Students have achieved excellent results in skill competitions and innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, and graduates are well-received by society, earning the reputation of "Huangpu Military Academy of Jiangsu Business" and "Cradle of Modern Service Industry Talents".
