河南应用技术职业学院是经教育部批准成立、直属于河南省教育厅的一所全日制公办综合类普通高等职业学校。学校始建于1956年，前身是河南省化学工业学校，2010年转制为高等职业院校，2015年与原河南省医药学校合并更名为河南应用技术职业学院。学校现已形成一校、两地（郑州市、开封市）、三校区（郑州校区、开封北院校区、开封南院校区）的办学格局，主校区位于郑州市中原区。

Henan Institute of Applied Technology is a full-time public comprehensive higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education and directly under the Department of Education of Henan Province. Founded in 1956, its predecessor was Henan Chemical Industry School. It was transformed into a higher vocational college in 2010 and renamed Henan Institute of Applied Technology in 2015 through the merger with the former Henan Medical School. The college now has an educational structure of one institution, two cities (Zhengzhou and Kaifeng), and three campuses (Zhengzhou Campus, Kaifeng North Campus, and Kaifeng South Campus), with the main campus located in Zhongyuan District, Zhengzhou City.

学校是河南省骨干高职院校、省级品牌示范院校、省级优质高等职业院校，河南省高水平高等职业院校和高水平专业群建设单位。学校总占地面积58.38万平方米，建筑面积39.67万平方米，设有10个二级学院，52个专科专业，3个本科专业，涵盖生物与化工、装备制造、电子与信息等10个专业大类，全日制在校生达2.4万余人。
