哈尔滨铁道职业技术学院始建于1959年，前身为哈尔滨铁路工程学校。2002年晋升为高职学院，由黑龙江省教育厅与中国中铁共建，是一所全日制普通高等职业学校。2010年立项国家首批百所骨干校，2015年成为教育部首批百所高职现代学徒制试点院校，2016年入选国家“十三五”产教融合发展工程项目建设单位，2017年立项黑龙江省高水平高职院校及高水平专业建设单位，2019年成为中国特色高水平专业群建设单位（城市轨道工程技术专业群），现为全国文明单位、国家首批1+X证书制度试点院校。

Harbin Railway Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1959, formerly known as Harbin Railway Engineering School. It was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2002 and is co-built by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education and China Railway, being a full-time ordinary higher vocational school. In 2010, it was approved as one of the first batch of 100 national backbone colleges; in 2015, it became one of the first batch of 100 higher vocational modern apprenticeship pilot institutions of the Ministry of Education; in 2016, it was selected as a national "13th Five-Year" industry-education integration development project construction unit; in 2017, it was approved as a high-level vocational college and high-level professional construction unit in Heilongjiang Province; in 2019, it became a construction unit of China's characteristic high-level professional group (urban rail engineering technology professional group), and now it is a national civilized unit and a national first batch of 1+X certificate system pilot institutions.

学院占地915亩，校舍面积22.21万平方米，教学设备总值2.46亿元，纸质图书67.2万册、电子图书4060GB。下设铁道建筑学院、城市轨道工程学院等5个二级分院，全日制在校生14473人，专任教师367人，另聘企业一线技术专家523人担任兼职教师。学院紧密对接轨道交通产业链，构建高寒高铁智能建造、智能运维等5个专业群，与俄罗斯远东国立交通大学开展合作办学，年均就业率超95%，80%以上毕业生就职于世界500强企业。

The college covers an area of 915 mu, with a school building area of 222,100 square meters, total value of teaching equipment of 246 million yuan, 672,000 paper books and 4060GB e-books. It has 5 secondary colleges including Railway Construction College and Urban Rail Engineering College, with 14,473 full-time students, 367 full-time teachers, and 523 part-time teachers who are technical experts from the front line of enterprises. Closely connecting with the rail transit industry chain, the college has built 5 professional groups such as alpine high-speed rail intelligent construction and intelligent operation and maintenance, and carries out cooperative education with Far Eastern Federal University of Railway Transport in Russia. The annual employment rate exceeds 95%, and more than 80% of graduates work in Fortune 500 enterprises.
