河南交通职业技术学院创办于1953年，是一所公办全日制交通类高等职业院校，校址位于郑州市，分郑东校区（郑州市郑东新区通惠路259号）和航海校区（郑州市二七区航海中路165号）。学校现为国家优质专科高等职业院校、教育部和军委政治工作部、国防动员部联合确立的定向培养军士院校、首批示范性产教融合型职业院校培育单位、教育部第一批职业院校数字校园建设试点学校、全国邮政行业人才培养基地、首批全国急救教育试点学校。作为河南省唯一的公办交通类高等职业院校，其前身是国家级重点中等专业学校河南省交通学校，多年来在交通领域人才培养方面积淀了丰富经验，汽车运用技术等骨干专业曾被国家七部门定为国家级紧缺专业人才培养基地。

Henan Vocational and Technical College of Communications, founded in 1953, is a public full-time higher vocational college specializing in transportation. It is located in Zhengzhou City, with two campuses: Zhengdong Campus (No. 259, Tonghui Road, Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou) and Hanghai Campus (No. 165, Hanghai Middle Road, Erqi District, Zhengzhou). The college is currently a National High-Quality Vocational College, a military officer-oriented training college jointly designated by the Ministry of Education, the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, and the National Defense Mobilization Department, a pilot unit for the first batch of demonstration industry-education integration vocational colleges, a pilot school for digital campus construction of the first batch of vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education, a national talent training base for the postal industry, and one of the first national pilot schools for first-aid education. As the only public transportation vocational college in Henan Province, it evolved from Henan Provincial Traffic School, a national key secondary specialized school. Over the years, it has accumulated rich experience in cultivating transportation professionals, with key majors such as Automobile Application Technology once designated as national training bases for urgently needed professionals by seven national departments.
