合肥职业技术学院（原巢湖职业技术学院）成立于2002年，由原巢湖卫生学校、巢湖农业学校（安徽省土地管理学校）、巢湖财政学校三所省重点中专学校合并升格而成，是安徽省成立较早的高职院校之一。2007年、2008年、2010年，安徽省汽车运输高级技工学校、安徽广播电视大学巢湖分校和巢湖商业干部学校先后并入。2012年4月，因安徽省行政区划调整更名为合肥职业技术学院，成为合肥市属综合性高职院校。

Hefei Vocational and Technical College (formerly Chaohu Vocational and Technical College) was founded in 2002. It was upgraded by merging three provincial key secondary schools: the former Chaohu Health School, Chaohu Agricultural School (Anhui Provincial Land Management School), and Chaohu Finance School. It is one of the earlier vocational colleges established in Anhui Province. In 2007, 2008, and 2010, Anhui Automobile Transportation Senior Technical School, Chaohu Branch of Anhui Radio and Television University, and Chaohu Commercial Cadre School were merged into the college successively. In April 2012, due to the administrative division adjustment of Anhui Province, it was renamed Hefei Vocational and Technical College and became a comprehensive vocational college affiliated to Hefei City.

学校是安徽省首批16所地方技能型高水平大学之一，国家“创新发展行动计划”优质专科高等职业院校建设单位。现设有医学院、汽车工程学院、机电工程学院、轨道交通学院等多个二级学院，形成了以工科为主，医、农、经、管、文等多学科协调发展的专业体系。学校拥有汇心湖和巢湖鼓山两个校区，总占地面积1220亩，为学生提供了良好的学习和生活环境。

The college is one of the first 16 local high-level skilled universities in Anhui Province and a construction unit of high-quality junior colleges and vocational colleges under the national "Innovation and Development Action Plan". It now has multiple secondary colleges such as the School of Medicine, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and School of Rail Transit, forming a professional system with engineering as the main focus and coordinated development of medicine, agriculture, economics, management, literature and other disciplines. The college has two campuses, Huixinh Lake and Chaohu Gushan, with a total area of 1220 mu, providing a good learning and living environment for students.
