阜新高等专科学校是由阜新市人民政府主办的综合性市属高等职业院校，始建于1958年，原名为阜新市师范专科学校；1984年经辽宁省人民政府批准成立阜新师范专科学校；1993年经国家教委批准更名为阜新高等专科学校。自1999年至2023年，阜新师范学校、阜新职工大学、阜新市财贸学校、辽宁广播电视大学阜新分校、阜新公路学校、阜新卫生学校先后并入，形成以高等职业教育为主体，中等职业教育、成人继续教育为两翼的“一体两翼多元化”办学体系。

Fuxin Higher Vocational College is a comprehensive municipal higher vocational college sponsored by the Fuxin Municipal People's Government. Founded in 1958, it was originally named Fuxin Normal College. In 1984, it was approved by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government to establish Fuxin Normal College. In 1993, it was renamed Fuxin Higher Vocational College with the approval of the State Education Commission. From 1999 to 2023, Fuxin Normal School, Fuxin Workers' University, Fuxin Finance and Trade School, Liaoning Radio and Television University Fuxin Branch, Fuxin Highway School, and Fuxin Health School were successively merged into the college, forming a "one body, two wings, and diversified" school-running system with higher vocational education as the main body, and secondary vocational education and adult continuing education as the two wings.

学校位于辽宁省阜新市，占地面积约16.6万平方米，建筑面积14万平方米，固定资产总值2亿余元，教学仪器设备总值9200余万元，图书馆藏图书50余万册。现有教职工560人，其中专任教师440人，副高级以上职称258人，双师型教师占比69.2%；开设31个高职专业、6个中职专业，全日制在校生9800余人，继续教育学生3400余人，拥有现代农牧、基础教育、交通与土建等3个辽宁省兴辽卓越高职专业群，获评辽宁省就业工作先进集体、辽宁省绿色校园等荣誉称号。

The college is located in Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, covering an area of approximately 166,000 square meters with a building area of 140,000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is more than 200 million yuan, the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is more than 92 million yuan, and the library has a collection of more than 500,000 books. There are 560 faculty members, including 440 full-time teachers, 258 with associate senior titles or above, and 69.2% of "double-qualified" teachers. It offers 31 higher vocational majors and 6 secondary vocational majors, with more than 9,800 full-time students and over 3,400 continuing education students. It has 3 Liaoning Provincial Xingliao Excellent Higher Vocational Major Groups such as modern agriculture and animal husbandry, basic education, transportation and civil engineering, and has been awarded honors such as Advanced Collective for Employment Work in Liaoning Province and Liaoning Provincial Green Campus.
