常州工程职业技术学院创建于1958年，坐落于江南历史文化名城江苏常州，2002年由江苏省常州化工学校与江苏建筑材料工业学校合并组建而成。学校秉承“励志·践行”校训，坚持“立足常州、服务江苏、辐射长三角”办学定位，面向绿色智能技术，设立7个二级学院，43个招生专业，重点打造化工新材料智能制造、轨道交通装备制造、生物医药等八大专业群，为相关行业培养高素质技能人才。

Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering was founded in 1958 and is located in Changzhou, a famous historical and cultural city in the south of the Yangtze River, Jiangsu Province. It was formed by the merger of Jiangsu Changzhou Chemical Industry School and Jiangsu Building Materials Industry School in 2002. Adhering to the school motto of "Aspiration and Practice", the school adheres to the school-running orientation of "based in Changzhou, serving Jiangsu, and radiating the Yangtze River Delta". Facing green intelligent technology, it has set up 7 secondary colleges and 43 enrollment majors, focusing on building eight major professional groups such as chemical new materials intelligent manufacturing, rail transit equipment manufacturing, and biomedicine, so as to cultivate high-quality skilled talents for related industries.

学校是首批中国特色高水平专业群建设单位、国家优质高职院校，现有全日制在校生15000余人，教职工800余人，专任教师中副高及以上职称比例达42%，硕士、博士比例80%以上。学校持续深化产教融合，与中国中车等龙头企业共建产业学院和实训平台，学生获省级以上竞赛一等奖200余项，毕业生85%以上在长三角区域就业，连续多年获“青春留常贡献奖”。

The school is one of the first batch of construction units for high-level professional groups with Chinese characteristics and a national high-quality higher vocational college. It currently has more than 15,000 full-time students and more than 800 faculty members. Among the full-time teachers, the proportion of associate senior titles or above reaches 42%, and the proportion of masters and doctors is more than 80%. The school continues to deepen the integration of industry and education, and has built industry colleges and training platforms with leading enterprises such as CRRC. Students have won more than 200 first prizes in provincial and above competitions. More than 85% of graduates are employed in the Yangtze River Delta region, and have won the "Youth Stay in Changzhou Contribution Award" for many years.
