池州职业技术学院是一所公办全日制普通高等院校，2002年由池州师范学校、池州农业学校、池州旅游学校和池州粮食干部学校四所中专学校合并升格而成，其中池州师范学校和池州农业学校均于1917年建校。学校现为安徽省示范性高等职业院校、安徽省地方技能型高水平大学、安徽省“双高计划”高水平学校和高水平专业群建设单位，全国智慧生态园林行业产教融合共同体理事长单位。

Chizhou Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution. It was upgraded in 2002 by merging four secondary vocational schools: Chizhou Normal School, Chizhou Agricultural School, Chizhou Tourism School, and Chizhou Grain Cadre School. Among them, both Chizhou Normal School and Chizhou Agricultural School were founded in 1917. The college is now a Demonstrative Higher Vocational College in Anhui Province, a Local Skilled High-level University in Anhui Province, a construction unit of high-level schools and high-level professional groups under Anhui's "Double High Plan", and the chairman unit of the National Smart Ecological Garden Industry-education Integration Community.

学校坐落于中国首个生态经济示范区、中国优秀旅游城市、全国文明城市——池州市。占地面积799亩，建筑面积30万平方米，主要教学科研仪器设备总值达1亿元，图书馆藏书52.42万册，全日制在校生1.2万人。设有机电与汽车系、建筑与园林系等10个教学单位，确立“立足池州、服务安徽、辐射长三角、走向全国”的发展战略，致力于培养高素质技术技能人才，累计培养近10万名技术人才，在安徽省、长三角就业率分别达70%、90%。
