安徽黄梅戏艺术职业学院坐落在国家历史文化名城、黄梅戏故乡的千年古城安庆，其前身安徽黄梅戏学校创办于1958年，2011年4月升格为全日制公办高等艺术院校，是经安徽省人民政府批准、教育部备案的全国唯一一所以戏曲剧种命名的高等艺术院校。学院坚持“立志，有恒，求实，守勤”八字校训，以培养高素质黄梅戏艺术人才、促进黄梅戏艺术发展为宗旨，开设戏曲表演、音乐表演、舞蹈表演、艺术设计等多个专业，为全国培养了大批优秀艺术人才，被誉为“黄梅沃土、明星摇篮”。

Anhui Huangmei Opera Art Vocational College is located in Anqing, a millennium-old city known as the national historical and cultural city and the hometown of Huangmei Opera. Its predecessor, Anhui Huangmei Opera School, was founded in 1958 and was upgraded to a full-time public higher art college in April 2011. It is the only higher art college named after a traditional opera genre in China, approved by the People's Government of Anhui Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. Adhering to the school motto of "Aspiration, Perseverance, Practicality, and Diligence", the college aims to cultivate high-quality Huangmei Opera art talents and promote the development of Huangmei Opera. It offers various majors such as Opera Performance, Music Performance, Dance Performance, and Art Design, having cultivated a large number of outstanding artistic talents for the country and being praised as "the fertile soil of Huangmei and the cradle of stars".

学院占地201亩，现有表演、音乐、美术、舞蹈、综艺五大系，师资力量雄厚，办学特色鲜明。作为非物质文化遗产传习基地、京剧梅派人才传承基地及中国戏曲学院生源基地，学院不仅注重专业技能培养，还积极开展黄梅戏艺术研究与交流，毕业生年均一次性就业率达98%以上，许多校友已成为蜚声艺坛的明星演员、国家一级演员及各领域艺术骨干，为中国戏曲文化的传承与发展作出了重要贡献。

Covering an area of 201 mu, the college has five departments: Performance, Music, Fine Arts, Dance, and Variety Arts, with strong faculty and distinct school-running characteristics. As an Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Base, a Peking Opera Mei School Talent Inheritance Base, and a student source base for the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, the college not only focuses on professional skills training but also actively carries out Huangmei Opera art research and exchanges. The annual one-time employment rate of graduates exceeds 98%, and many alumni have become renowned artists, national first-class actors, and artistic backbones in various fields, making important contributions to the inheritance and development of Chinese opera culture.
