淮北职业技术学院是1999年经教育部批准设立、淮北市人民政府举办的全日制普通高等职业院校，由原淮北教育学院、淮北矿务局职工大学、安徽电大淮北分校、淮北财政学校、淮北技工学校合并组建，2023年8月淮北卫生学校整体并入。学院是安徽省示范性高职院校、安徽省地方技能型高水平大学建设单位、安徽省双高校建设单位，位于全国文明城市、国家森林城市、国家能源基地安徽省淮北市，现有烈山、相山两个校区，占地面积1000余亩，建筑面积50余万平方米，固定资产总值近10亿元，其中教学、科研仪器设备资产总值1亿余元。

Huaibei Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education in 1999 and sponsored by the People's Government of Huaibei City. It was formed by the merger of the former Huaibei Institute of Education, Huaibei Mining Bureau Staff University, Anhui Radio and Television University Huaibei Branch, Huaibei Finance School, and Huaibei Technical School. In August 2023, Huaibei Health School was fully merged into the college. As a model higher vocational college in Anhui Province, a construction unit for local high-level skilled universities in Anhui Province, and a double-high school construction unit in Anhui Province, it is located in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, a national civilized city, national forest city, and national energy base. The college has two campuses, Lieshan and Xiangshan, covering an area of more than 1,000 mu, with a building area of over 500,000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is nearly 1 billion yuan, including teaching and research equipment worth over 100 million yuan.

学院以高等职业教育为主，形成五年一贯制教育与继续教育为辅的"一体两翼"办学格局，设有机电工程系、建筑工程系、计算机科学技术系、医学系、工艺美术系、财经系、人文社科系等14个教学单位，开设40余个高职专业，其中国家控制教育类专业2个，省级特色专业9个。现有全日制高职在校生1.7万余人，招生面向全国20个省（市、自治区），毕业生就业率始终保持90%以上，累计培养各类技术技能型人才8万余名，先后获得"全国节约型公共机构示范单位""安徽省普通高校毕业生就业工作标兵单位"等荣誉称号。

The college focuses on higher vocational education, forming a "one body and two wings" school-running pattern with five-year consistent education and continuing education as supplements. It has 14 teaching units including the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Department of Medicine, Department of Arts and Crafts, Department of Finance and Economics, and Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, offering more than 40 higher vocational majors, including 2 national controlled education majors and 9 provincial-level characteristic majors. There are over 17,000 full-time vocational college students, with enrollment covering 20 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country. The employment rate of graduates has always remained above 90%, and more than 80,000 technical and skilled talents of various types have been trained. The college has successively won honors such as "National Model Unit of Economical Public Institutions" and "Model Unit for Employment Work of College Graduates in Anhui Province".
