浙江交通职业技术学院创建于1958年，隶属于浙江省交通运输厅，素有“浙江交通人才摇篮”美誉，1999年经教育部批准成为浙江省首批高职院校之一。学校是全国职业教育先进单位、全国教育系统先进集体、国家“双高计划”专业群建设单位、国家骨干建设优秀院校，现有杭州、长兴两个校区，校园占地950余亩，教职员工750余人，在校学生12000余人。

Zhejiang Institute of Communications was founded in 1958 and is affiliated to the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation, known as the "cradle of transportation talents in Zhejiang". In 1999, it was approved by the Ministry of Education as one of the first higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang Province. The school is an Advanced Unit of National Vocational Education, an Advanced Collective of National Education System, a construction unit of the national "Double-High Plan" professional group, and an excellent university for national backbone construction. It has two campuses in Hangzhou and Changxing, covering an area of more than 950 mu, with over 750 faculty members and more than 12,000 students.

学校设有路桥、汽车、海运、航空、轨道交通等11个二级学院，开设道路与桥梁工程技术、航海技术、飞机机电设备维修等34个全日制高职专科专业，拥有国家级双高计划专业群1个、国家级示范专业点4个。近五年，学生在省部级以上技能大赛中获奖640余项，毕业生初次就业率连续保持97%以上，多次入选全国高等职业院校服务贡献50强。

The school has 11 secondary colleges including Road & Bridge, Automobile, Maritime, Aviation, and Rail Transit, offering 34 full-time higher vocational programs such as Road and Bridge Engineering Technology, Navigation Technology, and Aircraft Electromechanical Equipment Maintenance. It has 1 national-level "Double-High Plan" professional group and 4 national-level demonstration majors. In the past five years, students have won more than 640 awards in provincial and ministerial skill competitions, with the initial employment rate of graduates remaining above 97% for consecutive years, and has been repeatedly selected into the top 50 national higher vocational colleges in service contribution.
