浙江电力职业技术学院于2003年经浙江省人民政府批准筹建，由浙江省电力公司主办和管理，是浙江省唯一一所以培养电力专业技术人才为特色的国有公办全日制高等职业技术学院。学院前身可追溯至1979年创建的浙江省电力职工大学、富春江水电职工大学及杭州电力学校等多所院校，2007年多校合并升格为现校名，目前校址位于浙江省杭州市拱墅区台州路217号。

Zhejiang Electric Power Vocational and Technical College was approved for preparation by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government in 2003. Sponsored and managed by the Zhejiang Electric Power Company, it is the only state-owned public full-time higher vocational college in Zhejiang Province featuring the cultivation of power professional and technical talents. The college's predecessor can be traced back to multiple institutions founded in 1979, including Zhejiang Electric Power Staff University, Fuchunjiang Hydropower Staff University, and Hangzhou Electric Power School. In 2007, these schools merged and were upgraded to the current name, with its campus now located at No. 217 Taizhou Road, Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

学院校园建筑面积达74254平方米，教学设施齐全，拥有浙江省电网调度仿真装置、300MW模拟电厂、电力营销实训基地等专业实训平台，以及现代化多媒体教室、计算机控制语音教室等教学资源。现有教职工287人，其中专职教师143人，高级职称教师占比约30%，注重实践教学与校企合作，为电力行业培养应用型技术人才。

The college has a campus construction area of 74,254 square meters with complete teaching facilities, including professional training platforms such as Zhejiang Power Grid Dispatching Simulation Device, 300MW Simulated Power Plant, and Electric Power Marketing Training Base, as well as teaching resources like modern multimedia classrooms and computer-controlled language labs. It currently has 287 faculty members, including 143 full-time teachers, with senior professional title teachers accounting for about 30%. The college focuses on practical teaching and school-enterprise cooperation to cultivate applied technical talents for the electric power industry.
