厦门城市职业学院是2005年5月由厦门市人民政府整合厦门市广播电视大学（2020年更名为厦门开放大学）、厦门教育学院、厦门职工大学三校资源组建的全日制公办高等职业院校，2007年3月厦门市城市建设中等职业学校整体并入。学校与厦门开放大学实行一体化办学，高等职业教育与开放教育协同发展，坐落于厦门市思明区，占地500.35亩。

Xiamen City University is a full-time public higher vocational college established in May 2005 by the Xiamen Municipal Government through the integration of Xiamen Radio and Television University (renamed Xiamen Open University in 2020), Xiamen Institute of Education, and Xiamen Workers' University. In March 2007, Xiamen Urban Construction Secondary Vocational School was fully merged into the college. The university operates an integrated education system with Xiamen Open University, promoting coordinated development of higher vocational education and open education. It is located in Siming District, Xiamen, covering an area of 500.35 mu.

学校现有教职工640人（专任教师422人），其中台湾教师6人、博士63人，双师型教师占比80.2%。2023年高职招生专业30个，在校生9138人，累计招收来自18个国家的留学生227名；开放教育（成人教育）设本专科专业40个，学生16892人。学校是教育部优质专科高等职业院校、福建省示范性现代高等职业院校、福建省“双高计划”A类立项建设院校，秉持“因城而生，为市则活”的办学信念，与196家企业深度合作，专业紧密对接区域产业发展需求。

The university currently has 640 faculty members (including 422 full-time teachers), with 6 Taiwanese teachers, 63 doctors, and "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 80.2%. In 2023, it offered 30 higher vocational programs, with 9,138 enrolled students and a cumulative total of 227 international students from 18 countries. The open education (adult education) sector offers 40 undergraduate and junior college programs, catering to 16,892 students. Recognized as a High-Quality Vocational College by the Ministry of Education, a Model Modern Higher Vocational College in Fujian Province, and an A-class project construction institution under Fujian's "Double High-Level Plan", the university adheres to the educational philosophy of "Born from the city, thriving for the city" and has established in-depth cooperation with 196 enterprises, with programs closely aligned with regional industrial development needs.
