许昌职业技术学院坐落在汉魏故都许昌，是一所经河南省人民政府批准、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等专科学校，从事高等职业教育和师范专科教育，新老校区、实习实训基地共占地2000余亩。2001年4月，由原许昌教育学院、许昌财税学校、许昌师范学校、许昌机电工程学校合并组建而成。学校传承于1942年成立的河南省第五行政区联立师范学校，已有80年的办学历史和文化积淀。

Xuchang Vocational and Technical College is located in Xuchang, the ancient capital of the Han and Wei Dynasties. It is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education, engaging in higher vocational education and normal college education. The old and new campuses and internship training bases cover a total area of more than 2000 mu. In April 2001, it was formed by the merger of the former Xuchang Institute of Education, Xuchang Finance and Taxation School, Xuchang Normal School and Xuchang Electromechanical Engineering School. The school inherits from the Fifth Administrative Region United Normal School of Henan Province founded in 1942, with a history of 80 years of school running and cultural accumulation.

学院现有教职工950人，专任教师849人，其中具有研究生学历教师180人，教授、副教授及其他高级专业技术人员192人，"双师素质"教师415人。学院设有信息工程系、机电工程汽车系、财贸经济系、人文系、艺术系、外语系、规划建筑工程系、园林园艺系和成人教育部、五年制部等10个系部和省级示范性软件职业技术学院，开设有机电一体化技术、汽车检测与维修技术、园艺技术、计算机应用技术、电子商务等50多个专业，各类全日制在校生16149人。

The college has 950 faculty members and 849 full-time teachers, including 180 teachers with graduate degrees, 192 professors, associate professors and other senior professional and technical personnel, and 415 "double qualified" teachers. The college has 10 departments including the Department of Information Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Automobile, the Department of Finance and Trade Economics, the Department of Humanities, the Department of Art, the Department of Foreign Languages, the Department of Planning and Architectural Engineering, the Department of Landscape Horticulture, the Department of Adult Education, the Five-year Department, and a provincial demonstration software vocational and technical college. It offers more than 50 majors such as mechanical and electrical integration technology, automobile inspection and maintenance technology, horticultural technology, computer application technology, and e-commerce, with 16149 full-time students of various types.
