温州科技职业学院于2008年2月经浙江省人民政府批准正式建立，同时挂温州市农业科学研究院牌子，系专科层次公办普通高等职业学校，由温州市人民政府举办。学校源于1950年8月建立的浙江省立温州农业技术学校，继承了农业职业教育和农业科研的优良传统，具有70余年办学历史，是浙江省唯一一所以农为特色的公办高职院校。

Wenzhou Vocational College of Science and Technology was officially established in February 2008 with the approval of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. It also operates under the name Wenzhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences and is a public higher vocational college at the junior college level sponsored by the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government. Tracing its roots to the Zhejiang Provincial Wenzhou Agricultural Technical School founded in August 1950, the college inherits the fine traditions of agricultural vocational education and agricultural scientific research, boasting a history of over 70 years. It is the only public vocational college in Zhejiang Province featuring agriculture as its core discipline.

学校占地1700亩（含温州种子种苗科技园），建筑面积29万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值1.29亿元，馆藏纸质图书77万册。设有农业与生物技术学院、园林与水利工程学院等6个二级学院，开设31个专业，其中涉农类专业15个。现有在编教职工700多人，柔性引进中国工程院院士等高层次人才31人，高级职称190人，博士、硕士占专任教师比例位居全省高职院校前列。

The college covers an area of 1,700 mu (including Wenzhou Seedling Science and Technology Park) with a building area of 290,000 square meters. Its total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment reaches 129 million yuan, and it houses 770,000 paper books in its library. The college comprises 6 secondary colleges, including the College of Agriculture and Biotechnology and the College of Landscape Architecture and Water Conservancy Engineering, offering 31 majors with 15 agriculture-related programs. It has over 700 in-service faculty members, flexibly introducing 31 high-level talents including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. There are 190 faculty members with senior professional titles, and the proportion of doctors and masters among full-time teachers ranks among the top in vocational colleges in Zhejiang Province.

学校是全国乡村振兴人才培养优质校、浙江省高水平专业群建设单位，荣获全国高职院校服务贡献50强、创新创业教育工作先进单位等称号。毕业生初次就业率连续保持98%以上，留温率近60%，毕业一年后创业率位列全省高职院校第一，人才培养质量稳居全省高职院校前五。

The college is recognized as a National Excellent School for Rural Revitalization Talent Cultivation and a Zhejiang Provincial High-Level Professional Group Construction Unit. It has been honored with titles such as Top 50 National Vocational Colleges in Service Contribution and Advanced Unit in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education. The initial employment rate of graduates has remained above 98% for consecutive years, with nearly 60% staying in Wenzhou for employment. The entrepreneurship rate one year after graduation ranks first among vocational colleges in Zhejiang Province, and the quality of talent cultivation consistently ranks among the top five vocational colleges in the province.
