三门峡职业技术学院坐落在被誉为“黄河明珠、文化圣地、天鹅之城”的三门峡市，是1999年经国家教育部批准，在豫西师范学校（始建于1946年）、三门峡工学院（始建于1996年）和三门峡广播电视大学（始建于1986年）合并基础上成立的一所由三门峡市人民政府举办，河南省教育厅实施业务管理的公办全日制普通高等职业院校。

Sanmenxia Polytechnic is located in Sanmenxia City, known as the "Pearl of the Yellow River, Holy Land of Culture, and City of Swans". Approved by the Ministry of Education in 1999, it is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college sponsored by the Sanmenxia Municipal People's Government and under the business management of the Henan Provincial Department of Education. It was established on the basis of the merger of Western Henan Normal School (founded in 1946), Sanmenxia Institute of Technology (founded in 1996) and Sanmenxia Radio and Television University (founded in 1986).

学院现有马克思主义学院、食品园林学院、智能制造学院等10个二级学院和2个教学部，另设有河南省示范性软件学院、国际交流与合作学院各1个。现有专兼职教师900余人，各类在校生36000余人，开设66个招生专业，形成以工科为主，理、经、文、管、教育、艺术、医学等协调发展的专业体系。学院是河南省高水平高职院校、河南省优质高职院校，先后获得国家绿化模范单位、河南省文明校园等百余项殊荣。

The college currently has 10 secondary colleges including the School of Marxism, School of Food and Gardening, School of Intelligent Manufacturing, and 2 teaching departments. In addition, there is 1 Henan Provincial Demonstrative Software College and 1 International Exchange and Cooperation College. There are more than 900 full-time and part-time teachers, and more than 36,000 students of various types. It offers 66 enrollment majors, forming a professional system dominated by engineering and coordinated development of science, economics, literature, management, education, art, medicine, etc. The college is a high-level vocational college in Henan Province and a high-quality vocational college in Henan Province. It has won more than 100 honors such as the National Model Unit for Afforestation and Civilized Campus in Henan Province.
