三明医学科技职业学院是三明市人民政府举办的全日制综合性高职院校，前身为2005年5月成立的三明职业技术学院，2016年9月经福建省人民政府批准更为现名。学院现为省级示范校、省级文明校园、教育部首批1+X职业技能等级证书试点院校，建有三元、生态新城两个校区，占地面积800余亩，校舍面积约41.51万㎡，全日制在校大专生1.5万余人。

Sanming Medical and Polytechnic Vocational College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational college sponsored by the Sanming Municipal People's Government. Its predecessor was Sanming Vocational and Technical College established in May 2005, and it was renamed to its current name with the approval of the Fujian Provincial People's Government in September 2016. The college is now a provincial demonstration school, a provincial civilized campus, and one of the first batch of 1+X vocational skill level certificate pilot institutions of the Ministry of Education. It has two campuses, Sanyuan and Ecological New City, covering an area of more than 800 mu, with a school building area of about 415,100 square meters and more than 15,000 full-time college students.

学院设有医药卫生、财经商贸、人文教育、工程设计等4大专业群47个招生专业，其中国控专业4个，国家级示范专业2个，省级示范专业9个，拥有梅园商务、国德健康养老等4个省级产业学院。建成180余个校内实验（训）室和160余个校外实习实践教学基地，形成完善的教学科研实训体系，在编教职员工625人，高级职称193人，双师型教师217人，历年毕业生去向落实率稳定在93%左右。

The college has 47 enrollment majors in 4 major professional groups including medicine and health, finance and commerce, humanities and education, and engineering design, among which 4 are national-controlled majors, 2 are national demonstration majors, and 9 are provincial demonstration majors. It has 4 provincial industrial colleges such as Meiyuan Business and Guode Health Care. More than 180 on-campus laboratories (training) rooms and more than 160 off-campus internship and practical teaching bases have been built, forming a complete teaching, scientific research and training system. There are 625 faculty members, 193 with senior titles, and 217 dual-qualified teachers. The employment rate of graduates over the years has stabilized at around 93%.
