上海农林职业技术学院是上海唯一一所以现代都市农业为特色的高等职业技术院校，是上海市特色高职院校、教育部首批百所现代学徒制试点单位。学院荣获第四届全国文明单位、上海市文明校园、上海市平安示范单位、上海市花园单位等称号，办学历史可追溯至1947年，2002年4月在上海市农业学校基础上建院。

Shanghai Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry is the only higher vocational and technical college in Shanghai featuring modern urban agriculture. It is a characteristic vocational college in Shanghai and one of the first 100 modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education. The college has been awarded titles such as the Fourth National Civilized Unit, Shanghai Civilized Campus, Shanghai Safe Model Unit, and Shanghai Garden Unit. Its educational history dates back to 1947, and it was established in April 2002 on the basis of Shanghai Agricultural School.

学院设有植物科学技术系、动物科学技术系等8个教学部门，开设高职专业23个，形成都市现代园艺、都市动物医学等4个上海市高水平专业群。现有在校生近5300人，教职工339人，涉农学生占比近60%，拥有国家级职业教育教师教学创新团队1个、上海市级教学团队12个，主编国家级规划教材9本。

The college has 8 teaching departments including the Department of Plant Science and Technology and the Department of Animal Science and Technology, offering 23 higher vocational majors, forming 4 Shanghai high-level professional groups such as urban modern horticulture and urban animal medicine. Currently, there are nearly 5,300 students and 339 faculty members, with agricultural-related students accounting for nearly 60%. It has 1 national vocational education teacher teaching innovation team, 12 Shanghai-level teaching teams, and has edited 9 national planning textbooks.

学院弘扬"尚农乐耕生生不息"的校训精神，秉承"为农服务，特色立校"的办学宗旨，每年为上海农业培养大批管理和技术人才，积极开展新型职业农民培训，年培训及技能鉴定近万人次，是全国青少年科普示范基地、国家职业资格鉴定上海市职业资格鉴定所。

Upholding the school motto spirit of "Valuing Agriculture, Enjoying Farming, and Enduring Vitality" and the educational philosophy of "Serving Agriculture and Establishing the School with Characteristics", the college cultivates a large number of management and technical talents for Shanghai's agriculture every year. It actively carries out training for new professional farmers, with nearly 10,000 person-times of training and skill appraisal annually. It is a national youth science popularization demonstration base and a Shanghai vocational qualification appraisal institute for national vocational qualification appraisal.
