南阳工艺美术职业学院是经河南省人民政府批准、教育部备案，于2023年1月新组建的公办全日制专科层次高等职业院校，其前身为1986年创建的河南省镇平工艺美术职业学校。学校坐落于享有“中国玉雕之乡”“中国地毯之乡”“中国民间艺术之乡”美誉的南阳市镇平县，占地面积320亩，建筑面积20万平方米，校园毗邻省级生态湿地赵河公园和国家AAAA级旅游景区国际玉城，环境宜人。

Nanyang Arts and Crafts Vocational College is a public full-time higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Henan Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. Established in January 2023, it evolved from Henan Zhenping Arts and Crafts Vocational School founded in 1986. Located in Zhenping County, Nanyang City—renowned as "China's Jade Carving Hometown", "China's Carpet Hometown", and "China's Folk Art Hometown"—the college covers 320 mu (213,333 square meters) with a building area of 200,000 square meters. Its campus adjoins the provincial ecological wetland Zhaohe Park and the national AAAA-level tourist attraction International Jade City, offering a pleasant environment.

学校下设珠宝玉雕学院、产品设计学院等6个二级学院，开设宝玉石鉴定与加工、玉器设计与工艺等13个专科专业，形成了以工艺美术为核心的特色专业群。现有专任教师478人，其中研究生以上学历75人，中高级教师176人，双师型教师122人，同时聘请行业企业专家担任兼职教师。教学设施完善，各类教学仪器设备价值6200万元，图书馆藏书17万册，电子读物24万余件，并建有多个专业实训基地。

The college comprises 6 secondary schools including the School of Jewelry and Jade Carving and the School of Product Design, offering 13 specialized programs such as Gem Identification and Processing, and Jade Design and Craftsmanship, forming a distinctive professional cluster centered on arts and crafts. It has 478 full-time teachers, including 75 with postgraduate degrees, 176 intermediate and senior teachers, and 122 "double-qualified" teachers (with both academic credentials and industry experience). Industry experts are also employed as part-time faculty. The college boasts advanced teaching facilities worth 62 million yuan, a library with 170,000 physical books and over 240,000 e-resources, and multiple professional training bases.
