宁德职业技术学院是2005年经福建省人民政府批准成立、教育部备案，由宁德市人民政府主办的闽东唯一一所高职院校，学校溯源最早的前身校为创办于1934年的宁德市农业学校和创办于1939年的福安师范学校，已有90年深厚的办学积淀。1935年中国茶界泰斗张天福老校长亲笔书写校训“实事求是·身体力行”，奠定了学校的办学理念、治校精神。曾培养出台湾茶叶之父吴振铎、全国茶树育种专家郭吉春等当代卓有建树的一大批专家学者、政界精英和教育工作者，人才辈出、影响深远。

Ningde Vocational and Technical College was established in 2005 with the approval of the Fujian Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. Sponsored by the Ningde Municipal People's Government, it is the only higher vocational college in eastern Fujian. The earliest predecessors of the college can be traced back to Ningde Agricultural School founded in 1934 and Fu'an Normal School founded in 1939, boasting a profound educational heritage of 90 years. In 1935, the renowned tea expert and former principal Zhang Tianfu wrote the school motto "Seek Truth from Facts and Practice Earnestly" in his own handwriting, laying the foundation for the school's educational philosophy and spirit of governance. The college has cultivated a large number of accomplished experts, scholars, political elites, and educators, such as Wu Zhenduo, known as the "Father of Taiwanese Tea," and Guo Jichun, a national expert in tea breeding, enjoying a far-reaching influence with numerous outstanding talents emerging.

学校占地面积523亩，设有新能源与智能制造学院、信息技术与工程学院、茶学院、经济管理学院、文化与旅游学院、教育学院、继续教育学院、思政部等8个二级学院（部）。开设了涵盖装备制造、信息技术、现代农业、经济管理、文化教育等领域及新兴经济社会亟需的35个全日制专业，其中面向全日制招生的专业27个；23个成人教育专业，其中在招生的专业11个；在校生总数达6585人（含二元制196人、退役军人31人）；在编教职工339人，其中正高职称6人，副高职称67人，双师型教师占专业课教师的比例达50%。拥有中国女科技工作者社会服务个人奖1人，全国农业职业教育教学名师2人，福建省高等学校教学名师1人，福建省高等职业院校百名专业带头人2人等。

Covering an area of 523 mu, the college comprises 8 secondary colleges and departments, including the School of New Energy and Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Information Technology and Engineering, School of Tea Science, School of Economics and Management, School of Culture and Tourism, School of Education, School of Continuing Education, and the Department of Ideological and Political Education. It offers 35 full-time programs covering equipment manufacturing, information technology, modern agriculture, economic management, cultural education, and other emerging fields亟需 by the economy and society, among which 27 are open to full-time enrollment. There are 23 adult education programs, with 11 currently enrolling students. The total number of students is 6,585 (including 196 in the "Dual System" program and 31 retired military personnel). The college has 339 faculty members, including 6 with senior professional titles and 67 with associate senior titles, with "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 50% of professional course teachers. It also boasts 1 recipient of the China Female Scientists Social Service Individual Award, 2 National Agricultural Vocational Education Teaching Masters, 1 Fujian Provincial College Teaching Master, and 2 Provincial Hundred Professional Leaders in Higher Vocational Colleges.

学校现有2个国家级骨干专业、2个中央财政支持提升专业服务产业发展能力建设项目专业、1个国家级教学资源库，还拥有7个省级高职教育示范专业、2个省级产教融合示范专业点、4个省级职业院校服务产业特色专业群等。2021年，机械制造及自动化专业群获批省级高水平高职专业群（A类）。学校持续深化产教融合、校企合作，与企业联办冠名班、订单班，青拓产业学院、新能源科技产业学院等入选省级产业学院试点项目。现有79个校外实训基地，92个校内实训基地，教学科研设备总值达7403.84万元，获批1个国家生产性实训基地、2个中央财政支持建设的国家级高职教育实训基地等多个实训平台。

The college currently has 2 national key majors, 2 majors supported by the central finance to enhance professional service industry development capacity, and 1 national teaching resource database. It also possesses 7 provincial higher vocational education demonstration majors, 2 provincial industry-education integration demonstration professional sites, and 4 provincial vocational college service industry characteristic professional groups. In 2021, the Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation professional group was approved as a provincial high-level vocational professional group (Class A). The college continuously deepens industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, co-establishing named classes and order-based classes with enterprises. The Qingtuo Industrial College and New Energy Technology Industrial College have been selected as provincial industrial college pilot projects. There are 79 off-campus training bases and 92 on-campus training bases, with total teaching and research equipment value reaching 74.0384 million yuan. It has obtained multiple training platforms, including 1 national productive training base and 2 national higher vocational education training bases supported by central finance.

学校突出服务社会，贡献能力持续提升。充分发挥宁德市职业院校联盟龙头单位的核心作用，与市内中职学校开展“3+2”联合办学，推动中高职融通。坚持职业教育与职业培训两翼并重发展思路，积极发挥全国新型职业农民培育示范基地、福建省职业技能等级认定试点院校等平台作用，开展职前教育、岗位技能提升等培训。成立闽东乡村振兴研究院，构建农商旅一体化乡村振兴模式，助力乡村振兴发展。精准脱贫工作成效得到《中国教育报》等主流媒体多次报道，还被写入2017年中国高等职业教育质量年度报告。

The college emphasizes serving society and continuously enhances its contribution capacity. It fully plays the core role as the leading unit of the Ningde Vocational College Alliance, carrying out "3+2" joint education with local secondary vocational schools to promote integration between secondary and higher vocational education. Adhering to the development idea of equal emphasis on vocational education and vocational training, it actively utilizes platforms such as the National New-type Professional Farmer Cultivation Demonstration Base and Fujian Provincial Vocational Skill Level Identification Pilot Institution to carry out pre-employment education and on-the-job skill improvement training. The college has established the Eastern Fujian Rural Revitalization Research Institute, constructing an integrated rural revitalization model of agriculture, commerce, and tourism to support rural development. The effectiveness of its targeted poverty alleviation work has been repeatedly reported by mainstream media such as "China Education Daily" and was included in the 2017 China Higher Vocational Education Quality Annual Report.
