湄洲湾职业技术学院是一所面向全国招生的公办专科层次全日制高等职业院校，位于妈祖故乡福建省莆田市，前身为1985年创立的湄洲湾工业学校，2004年升格为高职院校。学校现有涵江、仙游两个校区，涵江校区为校本部，地处涵江区梧塘镇荔涵东大道1001号，仙游校区位于仙游县城区鲤北学府路新师范路1号，总规划面积1350亩，建筑面积51万平方米，是国家数字化校园实验校、全国职业院校数字校园建设试点校。

Meizhouwan Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time higher vocational college enrolling students nationwide. Located in Putian City, Fujian Province, the hometown of Mazu, it originated from Meizhouwan Industrial School founded in 1985 and was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2004. The college has two campuses: Hanjiang Campus (main campus) at No. 1001 Lihan East Avenue, Wutang Town, Hanjiang District, and Xianyou Campus at No. 1 Xinfan Normal Road, Xuefu Road, Xianyou County. With a total planned area of 1,350 mu and a construction area of 510,000 square meters, it is a national digital campus experimental school and one of the first digital campus construction pilot schools for vocational colleges in China.

学校下设13个教学机构，开设47个专科专业，其中国家级骨干专业4个、省级服务产业特色专业群4个，形成“工科做强、工艺做精、工商做优、医学做特、学前做实”的专业特色。宝玉石鉴定与加工专业群入选福建省首批高水平专业群（A类项目），拥有国家级现代学徒制试点专业、中央财政支持实训基地及省级技能大师工作室等教学平台。近年来先后获评福建省示范性现代高等职业院校、全国现代学徒制试点院校、全国首批急救教育试点学校等荣誉称号。

The college has 13 teaching institutions offering 47 specialized programs, including 4 national key majors and 4 provincial-level service industry characteristic professional groups, forming a professional feature of "strengthening engineering, refining craftsmanship, optimizing business, specializing medicine, and solidifying preschool education". The Gemstone Identification and Processing professional group was selected into the first batch of high-level professional groups (Class A project) in Fujian Province. It has teaching platforms such as national-level modern apprenticeship pilot majors, central financial support training bases, and provincial-level skill master studios. In recent years, it has been awarded honors such as Fujian Provincial Demonstrative Modern Higher Vocational College, National Modern Apprenticeship Pilot College, and National First Batch of First Aid Education Pilot Schools.
