江西制造职业技术学院始建于1978年的江西省机械职工大学，位于江西省会城市南昌市，由江西省教育厅直属管理。2004年6月，经江西省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案成为全日制综合性公办普通高等职业院校。同年11月，省属重点科研院所江西省机械科学研究所成建制并入学校。2020年，学校被省教育厅认定为江西省优质专科高等职业院校。2023年，学校入选江西省高水平高职学校。

Jiangxi Vocational and Technical College of Manufacturing was founded in 1978 as Jiangxi Machinery Workers' University, located in Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi Province, and directly managed by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. In June 2004, it was approved by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education as a full-time comprehensive public higher vocational college. In the same November, Jiangxi Institute of Mechanical Science, a key provincial scientific research institute, was incorporated into the school as a whole. In 2020, the school was recognized as a high-quality junior college in Jiangxi Province by the Provincial Department of Education. In 2023, the school was selected as a high-level vocational school in Jiangxi Province.

学校坚持落实立德树人根本任务，先后被授予全国机械行业文明单位、全国国防教育特色学校、全国节约型公共机构示范单位、机械电子工业部教育工作先进集体、全省高校思想政治教育工作先进集体，连续多年获评全省高校平安校园示范学校、省直机关文明单位、省直教育系统公共机构节能工作优秀单位、省公共机构节约能源资源示范单位、江西法制宣传教育基地等荣誉。

Adhering to the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating talents, the school has been awarded the National Civilized Unit in the Machinery Industry, National Defense Education Characteristic School, National Model Unit of Economical Public Institutions, Advanced Collective in Education Work of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry, and Advanced Collective in Ideological and Political Education Work in Colleges and Universities of the Province. 学校位于江西省省会——物华天宝、人杰地灵的南昌市，有艾溪湖、上海路、丁公路3个校区。建有4个国家级职业教育实训基地（模具制造生产性实训基地、汽车整车实训基地、数控技术职业教育实训基地、工厂数字化虚拟仿真实训基地），1个国家级智能制造协同创新中心，3个省级专业技能实训中心（电子信息技术、模具制造技术、文科跨专业综合实训中心），1个省级职业院校技能竞赛集训基地，教学科研仪器设备总价近1.33亿元。

The school is located in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province, which is rich in natural resources and outstanding people. It has three campuses: Aixihu, Shanghai Road, and Dinggong Road. It has built 4 national vocational education training bases (mold manufacturing productive training base, automobile vehicle training base, numerical control technology vocational education training base, factory digital virtual simulation training base), 1 national intelligent manufacturing collaborative innovation center, 3 provincial professional skills training centers (electronic information technology, mold manufacturing technology, liberal arts interdisciplinary comprehensive training center), 1 provincial vocational college skills competition training base, with a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of nearly 133 million yuan.

学校设有机械工程学院、智能制造学院、信息工程学院、经济管理学院、汽车与航空学院、建筑与艺术设计学院、基础课部（素质教育中心）、马克思主义学院、创新创业学院等9个二级教学部门，现有全日制在校生14000余人，教职工700余人，现有高级职称教师100余人，硕士及以上学历学位教师400余人，双师型教师191人，享受国务院特殊津贴人选1人、省百千万人才、省高层次高技能领军人才、省能工巧匠4人，新时代职业学校名师1名，省级技术能手30余人；获评省级双师型名师工作室1个和省级教师教学创新团队2个；1人入选教育部新时代职业学校名师培养计划。
