江西应用工程职业学院是江西省国资委直属的国有公办全日制普通高校，坐落于中国工人运动摇篮、秋收起义策源地江西萍乡。学校拥有百年光荣的办学历史，前身是1921年12月毛泽东提议、1922年1月李立三创办、刘少奇发展壮大的安源路矿工人补习学校，2003年经省人民政府批准成立江西应用工程职业学院，2010年转为全额拨款事业单位。

Jiangxi Vocational College of Applied Engineering is a state-owned public full-time ordinary college directly under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Jiangxi Province. It is located in Pingxiang, Jiangxi Province, the cradle of the Chinese workers' movement and the birthplace of the Autumn Harvest Uprising. The school has a glorious history of a hundred years. Its predecessor was Anyuan Road and Mine Workers' Supplementary School, proposed by Mao Zedong in December 1921, founded by Li Lisan in January 1922, and developed by Liu Shaoqi. In 2003, it was approved by the Provincial People's Government to establish Jiangxi Vocational College of Applied Engineering, and in 2010, it was converted into a fully funded institution.

学校设有建筑工程学院、计算机信息工程学院、机电工程学院、经济管理学院、基础教育学院、马克思主义学院、应急管理学院等七个二级学院，拥有物联网应用技术（智慧应急方向）、大数据与会计、工业机器人、建筑室内设计、应急救援技术等28个高职专业，形成了以装备制造大类为主干，电子与信息大类、资源环境与安全大类、土木建筑大类专业为重点，应急管理专业群为特色的高职专业结构体系。现有教职工738人，其中高级职称156人，双师型教师215人，面向全国招生，目前在校学生13000余人。

The school has seven secondary colleges, including the School of Architectural Engineering, School of Computer Information Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Economic Management, School of Basic Education, School of Marxism, and School of Emergency Management. It offers 28 higher vocational majors such as Internet of Things Application Technology (Intelligent Emergency Direction), Big Data and Accounting, Industrial Robot, Architectural Interior Design, and Emergency Rescue Technology. It has formed a higher vocational professional structure system with equipment manufacturing as the mainstay, electronic and information, resources, environment and safety, civil engineering and construction as the key, and emergency management professional group as the feature. There are 738 faculty members, including 156 with senior professional titles and 215 double-qualified teachers. The school enrolls students nationwide, with more than 13,000 students currently studying on campus.

With the school-running purpose of "people-oriented, cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents" and the school motto of "Patriotism and Aspiration, Daring to Be the First", the school vigorously promotes the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation. It has multiple training bases set up by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and other ministries. It has won more than 100 honorary titles such as National Top Ten Vocational Colleges and National Top 100 Vocational Education Colleges, and is striving to build a distinctive vocational education undergraduate technical university.
