江西冶金职业技术学院是江西省唯一一所冶金类公办高职院校，始建于1975年，前身为新余钢铁厂七·二一工人大学，2009年经省政府批准、教育部备案正式更名。学校坐落于新余市仙女湖区，分南北两个校区，在校生1.5万余人，是全国职业教育先进单位、国家职业教育改革示范学校、全国现代学徒制试点院校，拥有钢铁智能冶金技术和工业机器人技术两个省级高水平专业群。

Jiangxi Metallurgical Vocational and Technical College is the only public higher vocational college specializing in metallurgy in Jiangxi Province. Founded in 1975, its predecessor was the July 21st Workers' University of Xinyu Iron and Steel Plant. It was officially renamed with the approval of the provincial government and the record of the Ministry of Education in 2009. Located in the Fairy Lake District of Xinyu City with two campuses (north and south), the college has more than 15,000 students. It is an Advanced Unit of National Vocational Education, a National Vocational Education Reform Demonstration School, and a National Modern Apprenticeship Pilot College, boasting two provincial-level high-level professional groups: Intelligent Iron and Steel Metallurgy Technology and Industrial Robot Technology.

学校以冶金特色立校，开设钢铁智能冶金技术、有色金属智能冶金技术、机电一体化技术等30多个专业，其中4个专业为全国现代学徒制试点专业。依托江西省钢铁、有色金属行业产教融合共同体，建有海康威视、赣锋新锂源等4个产业学院及省级区域性职业教育产教融合公共实训基地，双师型教师占比达65%，近五年获国家级教学成果1项、省级教学成果9项，师生技能大赛获国家级奖项200余项。

With metallurgy as its characteristic, the college offers over 30 majors including Intelligent Iron and Steel Metallurgy Technology, Intelligent Nonferrous Metallurgy Technology, and Mechatronics Technology, among which 4 are national modern apprenticeship pilot majors. Relying on the Jiangxi Iron and Steel Industry Industry-Education Integration Community and Jiangxi Nonferrous Metals Industry Industry-Education Integration Community, it has established 4 industrial colleges (e.g., Hikvision, Ganfeng New Lithium Source) and a provincial regional vocational education industry-education integration public training base. The proportion of "double-qualified" teachers reaches 65%. In the past five years, it has won 1 national teaching achievement award, 9 provincial teaching achievement awards, and over 200 national awards in师生技能 competitions.

学校践行"知行合一、求实创新"校训，深化产教融合、校企合作，牵头成立3个省级产教融合共同体，加入全国钢铁行业产教融合共同体，构建"四融四阶"育人体系。近年来先后获批招收国际学生资格、教育部中外人文交流中心未来技术技能人才国际训练基地，承办玻利维亚穆通综合钢厂培训项目，毕业生就业率连续保持在95%以上，为冶金行业及区域经济发展培养了5万余名高素质技术技能人才。

Adhering to the school motto of "Unity of Knowledge and Action, Seeking Truth and Innovation", the college deepens industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation. It has taken the lead in establishing 3 provincial industry-education integration communities and joined the National Iron and Steel Industry Industry-Education Integration Community, constructing a "Four Integration and Four Stages" education system. In recent years, it has been approved to enroll international students and designated as the International Training Base for Future Technical Skills Talents by the Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education. It has undertaken training programs for Bolivia's Mutun Integrated Iron and Steel Plant, with graduate employment rate remaining above 95% for years, cultivating over 50,000 high-quality technical talents for the metallurgical industry and regional economic development.
