江西信息应用职业技术学院是经江西省人民政府批准、教育部备案的江西省唯一公办信息类专科层次普通高校。学校起源于1956年的气象干部培训班，2002年升格为高职院校并启用现名，2012年成为全国首批解放军定向培养军士院校，2021年开始与江西农业大学联合培养专升本学生。学校现有南昌、共青城两个校区，占地714亩，全日制在校生12000余人，教职员工640余人，开设33个专业，形成了以信息类、气象类为特色，涵盖软件技术、计算机网络技术、大气科学技术等多领域的专业体系。

Jiangxi Vocational and Technical College of Information Application is the only public information technology-oriented college in Jiangxi Province approved by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and registered with the Ministry of Education. Originating from the Meteorological Cadre Training Course established in 1956, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2002 and adopted its current name. In 2012, it became one of the first national military academy for定向 training of non-commissioned officers, and in 2021, it began joint undergraduate programs with Jiangxi Agricultural University. The college has two campuses in Nanchang and Gongqingcheng, covering an area of 714 mu, with over 12,000 full-time students and more than 640 faculty members. It offers 33 majors, forming a specialized system featuring information technology and meteorology, including software technology, computer network technology, and atmospheric science technology.

学校注重产教融合与国际合作，拥有3个中外合作办学专业，与俄罗斯、英国等多所国外高校建立合作关系。教学资源丰富，建有73个实验实训室，其中国家级骨干专业2个、省级示范专业3个，近年来获厅级以上荣誉奖项500多项，应届毕业生去向落实率稳居省内同类院校前列，是国家技能型紧缺人才培养基地和江西省信息技术人才培训基地。

The college emphasizes industry-education integration and international cooperation, with 3 Sino-foreign cooperative education programs and partnerships with universities in Russia, the UK, and other countries. It boasts rich teaching resources, including 73 laboratories and training rooms, with 2 national-level key majors and 3 provincial demonstration majors. In recent years, it has won over 500 honors and awards at or above the department level, and its graduate employment rate has remained among the top of similar institutions in the province. It is a national training base for skilled talents in short supply and a training base for information technology talents in Jiangxi Province.
