江西农业工程职业学院是一所集农林、机电、畜牧兽医、中医药、信息工程、财经、幼师于一体的全日制公办普通高等职业学院，隶属江西省教育厅。学院创办于1940年，前身是江西省樟树农业学校，1980年被确定为江西省重点中专，2000年被确定为首批国家级重点中专，2004年升格为高等职业学院。2014年经江西省人民政府批准，成为江西省基层农技人员定向培养学校（定向招生、定向培养、定向分配）。2016年经省教育厅批准，与井冈山大学联合培养应用技术型本科人才。2020年被确定为江西省优质专科高等职业院校。

Jiangxi Agricultural Engineering College is a full-time public higher vocational college integrating agriculture and forestry, electromechanics, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, information engineering, finance and economics, and preschool education, affiliated to Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. Founded in 1940, the college was formerly known as Jiangxi Zhangshu Agricultural School. In 1980, it was designated as a key secondary school in Jiangxi Province, and in 2000, it was identified as one of the first batch of national key secondary schools. It was upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2004. In 2014, approved by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, it became a school for定向 training of grass-roots agricultural technology personnel in Jiangxi Province (定向招生, 定向培养, 定向分配). In 2016, approved by the Provincial Department of Education, it jointly cultivated applied technical undergraduate talents with Jinggangshan University. In 2020, it was designated as a high-quality junior college in Jiangxi Province.

学院地处中国药都樟树市，占地面积802亩，建筑面积14.65万平方米，绿化用地面积23.5万平方米。固定资产总值1.8亿元，教学仪器设备总值4000万元，图书馆藏书30万册。设有生物工程学院、中医药学院、动物科学学院、经济管理学院、信息工程学院、机电工程学院、幼儿师范学院等教学院部，开办高职专业36个，现有教职工482人，其中教授30人、副教授42人，在校生1.3万余人。学院先后荣获“全国农业职业院校能力体系教育成果评比三等奖”“江西省职业教育先进单位”等多项荣誉称号。

The college is located in Zhangshu City, the hometown of traditional Chinese medicine in China, covering an area of 802 mu, with a building area of 146,500 square meters and a green area of 235,000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 180 million yuan, the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 40 million yuan, and the library has a collection of 300,000 books. It has established teaching colleges and departments such as the College of Biological Engineering, College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, College of Animal Science, College of Economics and Management, College of Information Engineering, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and College of Preschool Education, offering 36 higher vocational majors. There are 482 faculty members, including 30 professors and 42 associate professors, and more than 13,000 students. The college has won many honorary titles such as "Third Prize in the Evaluation of Educational Achievements of the National Agricultural Vocational College Capacity System" and "Advanced Unit of Vocational Education in Jiangxi Province".
