Jiangxi College of Construction is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution under the supervision of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education, with the college identification code 4136013427. As the only independently established construction-oriented college in Jiangxi Province, it is designated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development as a model training base for skilled talents in short supply in the construction industry. It is also a pilot vocational college for national educational statistics informatization by the Ministry of Education, approved as a pilot unit for the modern apprenticeship system by the Ministry of Education in 2017, and rated as a second-round provincial "Double High Plan" construction unit in 2023.

学校办学历史可追溯至1958年创建的江西省建筑工程学校，2003年6月经江西省人民政府批准、教育部备案升格为高等职业院校并更名。目前设有小蓝、经开、昌南、红谷滩四个校区，主校区位于南昌市小蓝经济开发区汇仁大道999号，开设建筑工程技术、工程造价、建筑设计等30余个建设类专业，形成了以土木建筑大类为核心，涵盖测绘地理信息、装备制造、艺术设计等领域的特色专业群。

The college's educational history dates back to Jiangxi Provincial Architectural Engineering School founded in 1958. In June 2003, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college with the approval of Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education, and renamed accordingly. Currently, it has four campuses: Xiaolan, Jingkai, Changnan, and Honggutan, with the main campus located at No. 999 Huiren Avenue, Xiaolan Economic Development Zone, Nanchang City. The college offers over 30 construction-related majors such as Architectural Engineering Technology, Engineering Cost, and Architectural Design, forming a characteristic professional group centered on civil engineering and architecture, covering fields like surveying and mapping geographic information, equipment manufacturing, and art design.
