江西机电职业技术学院坐落于江西省南昌市赣江之滨、英雄桥畔，是省教育厅直属公办普通高等学校，省优质高等职业院校、省双高计划立项建设单位。学校前身为创办于1958年的江西省机械工业学校，1984年与江西省机械技工学校合署办学，2000年南昌矿山机械研究所成建制并入学校，2002年升格举办江西机电职业技术学院。

Jiangxi Vocational and Technical College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is located on the bank of the Ganjiang River and beside the Hero Bridge in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is a public ordinary higher education institution directly under the Provincial Department of Education, a provincial high-quality higher vocational college, and a provincial "Double High Plan" project construction unit. The school originated from Jiangxi Provincial Mechanical Industry School founded in 1958. In 1984, it ran schools together with Jiangxi Provincial Mechanical Technical School. In 2000, Nanchang Mining Machinery Research Institute was incorporated into the school as a whole. In 2002, it was upgraded to Jiangxi Vocational and Technical College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

学校现有下罗、赣江新区、青云谱、梅岭四个校区，设有7个二级学院和2个教学部以及1个矿山机械研究所，开设专业52个，全日制在校生16000余人。学校现有校内外专兼职教师、行业导师860余人，专任教师中拥有国务院特殊津贴获得者、全国技术能手等各类人才80余人，建有国家级、省市级大师工作室9个，国家级职业教育教师创新团队1个。近六年，师生获得省级及以上竞赛奖励630余项、2000余人次，毕业生去向落实率位列全省前列，企业用人满意度90%以上，连续多年获评全省高校毕业生就业工作先进单位和评估优秀单位。

The school currently has four campuses: Xialuo, Ganjiang New Area, Qingyunpu, and Meiling. It has 7 secondary colleges, 2 teaching departments, and 1 Mining Machinery Research Institute, offering 52 majors with more than 16,000 full-time students. The school has more than 860 full-time and part-time teachers and industry mentors inside and outside the school. Among the full-time teachers, there are more than 80 talents including recipients of special allowances from the State Council and national technical experts. There are 9 national, provincial and municipal master studios and 1 national vocational education teacher innovation team. In the past six years, teachers and students have won more than 630 awards and over 2,000 person-times in provincial and above competitions. The employment rate of graduates ranks among the top in the province, with enterprise employment satisfaction rate above 90%. The school has been awarded the Advanced Unit for Employment Work of College Graduates in the Province and Excellent Unit in Evaluation for many consecutive years.
