江西工业工程职业技术学院创办于1956年，前身为煤炭工业部在江南设立的第一所煤炭类中专学校，历经江西煤矿学院（本科）、萍乡煤矿学校等发展阶段，2002年升格为高职学院。学校五易校名却初心不改，60余年来始终以培养高技术高技能人才为己任，为社会输送了数以万计的优秀毕业生。

Jiangxi Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Engineering was founded in 1956. It originated as the first coal-based technical secondary school established by the Ministry of Coal Industry in southern China. Undergoing developmental stages such as Jiangxi Coal Mine College (undergraduate level) and Pingxiang Coal Mine School, it was upgraded to a vocational college in 2002. Despite changing its name five times, the college has remained committed to cultivating high-tech and skilled talents, producing tens of thousands of outstanding graduates for society over more than 60 years.

学校以“红心铸魂、匠心赋能”为党建品牌特色，构建“三心校园文化”，荣获江西省标杆院系、红色堡垒基层党组织等称号。专业建设紧密对接产业需求，开设40个全日制高职专业，其中光伏、采煤等3个专业为全国重点专业，数控技术等6个专业为省级特色专业，建成新能源材料产业学院等产教融合平台，入选全国新能源行业产教融合共同体副理事长单位。

The college features the Party building brand of "Cultivating Souls with Red Heart, Empowering with Craftsmanship" and has constructed a "Three-Heart Campus Culture". It has been awarded titles such as Jiangxi Provincial Model Department and Red Fortress Grassroots Party Organization. Its professional development closely aligns with industrial needs, offering 40 full-time vocational programs. Among them, 3 majors including photovoltaic engineering and coal mining are national key majors, and 6 majors such as numerical control technology are provincial characteristic majors. It has established industry-education integration platforms like the New Energy Materials Industry College and was selected as the vice-chairman unit of the National New Energy Industry-Education Integration Community.

学校现有占地面积630余亩，在校生1.5万余人，在职教师700余人，其中教授31人、副教授77人，双师型教师占比高。办学业绩显著，毕业生去向落实率稳居全省高校第一方阵，用人单位满意度超95%，先后荣获全国文明单位、江西省示范性高职院校等百余项荣誉称号。

Covering an area of over 630 mu, the college has more than 15,000 students and over 700 faculty members, including 31 professors and 77 associate professors, with a high proportion of dual-qualified teachers. It has achieved remarkable educational outcomes, with graduate employment rates consistently ranking among the top tier of colleges in the province and employer satisfaction exceeding 95%. It has successively won over 100 honorary titles such as National Civilized Unit and Jiangxi Provincial Demonstrative Vocational College.
