江西财经职业学院是由省政府直属、省教育厅代管的副厅级公办财经类全日制普通高等职业院校，前身为1960年创办的江西省财务会计学校。1988年升格为江西财经学院九江分院，2002年更为现名。学校是首批国家骨干高职院校建设单位、中国特色高水平高职学校和专业建设计划单位，先后入选江西省第一轮和第二轮高水平高等职业院校建设单位，2022年以优秀等级通过江西省高水平高职院校建设验收。

Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college under the direct administration of Jiangxi Provincial Government and managed by the Provincial Department of Education, with a vice-departmental level. Its predecessor was Jiangxi Provincial School of Finance and Accounting founded in 1960. It was upgraded to Jiujiang Branch of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in 1988 and renamed to its current name in 2002. The college is among the first batch of national backbone higher vocational college construction units and a unit of China's characteristic high-level vocational schools and professional construction plan. It has been selected into the first and second rounds of high-level higher vocational college construction units in Jiangxi Province, and passed the acceptance of Jiangxi Provincial High-level Vocational College Construction with excellent grade in 2022.

学校主校区位于江西省九江市，设有九江八里湖、浔阳及南昌三个校区，占地面积1266亩，校舍建筑面积74.9万平方米。现有15个教学部门，开设55个招生专业，其中国家双高专业群1个、国家骨干及创新发展行动计划专业11个。全日制在校生1.9万余人，教职员工1024人，93%以上专业教师具备双师素质，建有国家级实训基地2个、虚拟仿真示范实训基地1个，校外实习基地420个。近三年毕业生就业率年均超98%，累计培养11万余名财经管理人才，被誉为“江西财税金融系统的黄埔军校”。

The main campus of the college is located in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, with three campuses in Jiujiang Bali Lake, Xunyang and Nanchang, covering an area of 1266 mu and a school building area of 749,000 square meters. There are 15 teaching departments offering 55 enrollment majors, including 1 national double-high professional group and 11 national backbone and innovation development action plan majors. It has more than 19,000 full-time students and 1,024 faculty members, with over 93% of professional teachers having dual-qualification. The college has 2 national-level training bases, 1 virtual simulation demonstration training base, and 420 off-campus internship bases. The average employment rate of graduates in recent three years has exceeded 98%, and it has cultivated more than 110,000 financial management talents, known as "the Huangpu Military Academy of Jiangxi Finance and Taxation System".
